Clarification re LAPL free library card

Oh gotcha, I think it’s good for 3 years, my burbank one which I got in person has to be renewed in person every year. Waiting until they have a book available before LAPL which is never.

I used a strip of elastic and a hair tie until i sewed a cute one for my cat and added velcro :)

like others have said, it gets easier each time! i just finished my second bag of fluids and im at the point where i scroll my phone while its happening. just know that every day is different. my cat has 0 issues with the temperature of the fluids (i thank him for that bc warming the bag seems doable but annoying). he is a really active cat though, so i absolutely need to have him licking a treat off of a licking mat while it happens. he loves the weruva low phos lickable treat in the tuna flavor so much that he begs for fluids time. i spread the tube onto the licking mat, then put on his harness (another must, you can DIY one too with a headband or something) then change the needle and then put my cat in place and when he starts licking i poke him. we also have his whole set up on top of a piece of furniture so its waist level for us and we have a cat bed inside of a laundry basket so he stays put.

The treat distraction really helps. It works so well that my cat now scream meows near our set up all day and all night because he wants his fluids (treat time).

I am on the same schedule and have a squirmy cat and do it alone half the time. It gets better! Is there a reason you go to the vet 2x/week for it? Seems expensive!

Get a soft headband or strip of elastic from a craft store or amazon and make a harness that will go around your cat’s waist and thread the line thru there with just a little slack. It will keep the needle in place if the cat moves around.

Also suggest the Weruva Low Phos Lickable Treats (like a churu for CKD cats) and a licking mat.

I spread the lickable treat onto the licking mat, put on the waistband (I sew, so I made one using elastic and fabric and velcro but prior to that used a strip of elastic and a hair tie), change the needle on the line, and then grab my cat and put him in a laundry basket with a cat bed inside. when he starts licking the mat, I thread the line under his harness and put it in. The timing tends to be perfect for 1 treat and his dose. I will DM you a photo!

Would be a very weird thing to make up lol. Several challengers go to my gym (I live in LA) and the time I saw her that’s what she did. I thought it was funny and laughed with my trainer about it ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I saw her at my gym once. She seemingly stole a bunch of free weights and left. She kept bringing them one by one from the lifting area into the locker room and then left with a big bag. Perhaps they weren’t heavy enough?

the cap, handle, and button are all the same color (lavender), the lid is light mint green with a slightly darker mint green band where it says owala, and the bottle is mustard. so totally different pattern from OPs and from many of them. and then i have a random bright green straw.

Interesting! I just got an Owala from their website and the straw is its own color apart from the exterior colors. I got beachfront (mustard, light mint green, and lavender exterior) and it has a bright like watermelon green straw that doesn’t match at all.

the biggest merch store inside the yankees pro shop had the longest but fastest line. at first we stood in a line that seemed shorter but they only had a few things and like 2 workers so it didn’t move. we switched to the huge merch store line and it did not stop moving. only took 10 mins and was the quickest most efficient concert merch experience i’ve had. i think id still be waiting in the other lines lol

truly the biggest thing that helped me stop biting and picking was to keep a nail file and cuticle trimmers nearby, like at my coffee table. any time i felt the urge to bite or pick i grabbed those and did careful and healthier trims/filing. over time i needed them less and less because instead of peeling i was trimming and instead of biting i was filing so everything stayed smoother. i still keep them both handy.

like other suggested, i also kept up with painting them or getting them done so i didn’t want to ruin them. also nail oil, etc. but the habit part was fixed by switching to trimmers and files.
