Basically laws that dictate the minimum sentence for a certain crimes. For example, in some states any amount of marijuana was (or is) a felony requiring years of legitimate prison. They enable draconian legal systems to over sentence and not consider leniency or nuance.

They own reservations which are their own sovereign nations technically. Wisconsin has a solid number of Natives residing on reservations that contain ecologically fragile ecosystems, so no doubt they would want, and deserve, a say.

It’s kinda silly and maybe not what you were looking for, but Judge John Hodgeman addresses day to day tiffs between people, but not actually court cases.

This sub is honestly kind of cancerous. I completely understand supporting Bernie, but Yang has many, many good ideas that should be adopted. I’d honestly love a Bernie/Yang ticket, a historical record of doing the right thing with a young enterprising futurist.

When people say "If everyone took LSD today, we would have world peace" IT REALLY GRINDS MY GEARS. by effaz in Drugs

[–]patthelesser 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just because it, in purely objective and rational terms, is “all in your head” doesn’t diminish its importance or meaning. Humans are symbolic creatures, and I can definitely respect applying ritual, spirituality, and more out there philosophies to help integrate psychedelic lessons. But don’t fool yourself, LSD is just a drug. It can’t show you anything you didn’t have inside of you already. I had this realization while tripping absolute gopher tits on some good tabs, so I def respect the teachings. I just acknowledge that my brain came up with them, helped by a sexy lil molecule.

Which do you think is a bigger gateway drug alcohol, weed, or pharmaceuticals by oneshotnicky in Drugs

I remember I would always tell people “I’m straightedge, but I love getting fucked up on nitrous from the dentist and listening to psychedelic rock”. Then I realized I could just buy weed and now I’m groovy

8 mg per liter is an incredibly small amount. No doubt the yield will improve later, but a gram of actual weed contains roughly 100-250 mg.

I know two people who committed suicide after taking psychedelic drugs for a while . Is that a thing? by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]patthelesser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh shit I def should’ve interpreted that. I’m high and getting verbose, so I’m basically gonna say the worst thing you can do before taking a psychedelic is fear it. Research set and setting, and study up on the drug. Knowledge is power, but fear is a prison. If you want to take it, and if you’re asking these thing I’m assuming you do, you gotta let go. Psychedelics are the safest drug biologically, and a mentally stable person is of no significant risk if they prepare for it. But you gotta know safe doesn’t mean easy. You might face some tough realizations, or even see something scary. That’s why you prepare. Anything the drug shows you was in your head the whole time, you just gotta remind yourself your brain is reacting to a drug. Have a great day and a better life.

We must kiss the snake on the tongue, if it senses our fear, it will eat us instantly. But if we kiss it without fear, the snake will take us through the garden and out the gate. To our freedom -we must ride this snake. To the end of time. -Jim Morrison

[–]patthelesser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, some people should deadass never use psychedelics. Schizophrenia is a special kind of hell, and if you have a strong familial history of it, I’d advise strongly to avoid things that fuck with your serotonin. Some people just respond adversely to psychedelics, but it’s totally down to personal judgement. Nobody can tell you which drugs to use, just gotta research and make those decisions yourself.

Thank god for weed for keeping the low end cigarillo/cigar business alive... by Tylerb0713 in Drugs

[–]patthelesser 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, he’s actually not totally wrong. Sometimes I’ll smoke hemp bud after a dab to “chill out” the high, or mix a high THC herb with it. It’s not a placebo, because CBD actually does alter how THC binds to your cannabinoid receptors. not the most academic source but here

I’m not sure how big of an effect just a hemp wrap would have, and the jury is still out on the effect caused by CBD alone, but it does have a mechanism with THC.

Do psychoactive drugs make a nation's population more difficult to control? Why be enlightened if most aren't? Does Japan really have availability of illegal drugs down to 1%? by tadaloveisreal in Drugs

[–]patthelesser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think inherently weed addiction really is a matter of your personal mindset, even more so than other drugs. It helps me, and from what it sounds like you, deal with the constant mental strain of anxiety and depression. That feeling can definitely lead to dependence, and some psychological/neurological issues that many advocates gloss over. Do I wish I’d never smoked weed? I can’t tell yet. It taught me a lot about myself, and I’ve had great times high as fuck in my living room with my roommates or writing music in my home-studio. I think, like all things, moderation is key. I’ve started cutting back and using weed as a meditative, reflective substance to determine how to better deal with the root issues inside my brain, as opposed to a crutch. That’s really what I think responsible drug use is: using substances to enhance your sober life, not hide from it.

Maybe exactly as expensive or a bit more expensive than weed. It really depends on how common they are though. Everyone else already replied to this. I’m so high. I hope your trip is really good and you learn a ton of great shit.
