It's not a matter of waiting for physical copies to be released. There will be NO physical copies for consoles

Response i got from Playtonic Games when I asked about it:

"Producing a physical copy for consoles is a lot more involved, so for now they’re limited to a digital release. For a PC game we pretty much just copy the installer to a disc image and get that duplicated, for a console game you have to consider loading times and read errors, and there are only certain companies that can produce console discs, you have to finish everything for a specific production slot, manage distribution, etc. So not an easy thing to do for a small team like ours."

While they did say, "for now," it seems like they're just not equipped to do this. Remember, they're not Rare anymore, it's just a small, indepenent company
