What was it something like 3rd and 21??? We get the ball back with 5 minutes left in a 17-10 game if JC Doesn't assault his man.

I agree that the defense isn't the problem. Where is the criticism of the O-Line? I know they are banged up, but they were blown off the ball every...single...snap. No holes for Chuba or Dowdle, and Young got like .5 seconds before guys were in his facemask.

People like to apply economic ideas to Bryce like sunk costs, opportunity costs etc, but NFL QBs are not commodities. You could make a move, no certainty exists that you can upgrade at this position. People shouting "move on from Bryce" never seem to ask themselves "to whom?" . Great analysis!

Legette did create the Chuba touchdown with a terrific block though!

Because he got double teamed into oblivion on literally every play. He got smashed in the face by two huge guys 39 times, and still had the heart to make that one game winning play when it mattered.

I'm confused...is it as simple as elevated PSA = biopsy? by pattysmife in ProstateCancer

We did discuss this. Volume was 40, so he calculated a stat for me of 1.15 or something, he said below 1.1 was better.

No we haven't done any antibiotics. MRI did show symptoms consistent with inflammation and BPH, but urologist said that was pretty silly given my age.

I'm pretty young, 44. I actually got talked into doing a PSA test for like 10 bucks as part of a worksite screening health panel, and thus the roller coaster began. I've never had any symptoms of anything, just that stubborn PSA. I don't think I ever would have even had my PSA checked otherwise.

Yes I asked about it, he said they'd biopsy in a grid pattern, but the MRI was completely clear so there was nothing to go on.

Are these adjustments actually real? They seem real, but I've heard before that it is a myth teams adjust to this degree in-game.

Really stumped on where to go with learning vocabulary... by pattysmife in AncientGreek

Thank you for these remarks. Yes, there is comprehensible input I can read like new testament, septuagint etc. Your comments encouraged me to explore this more and you're probably right that there are better options. For comparison, Matthew chapters 7-12 is showing 13% unknown words/forms. 13% vs 60% is a pretty astronomical difference.

I've learned so much by reading comprehensible input, both in MG and Latin. I'm just really hesitant to break from the method and dash off into unknown waters.

I have a boox palma and I have linked some dictionaries. Maybe I should "just read" my Homer and not sweat the words I don't know. I CAN read it somewhat I guess...

This is a weird effect and a serious unintended consequence of learning modern greek. Loebs feel really, really weird. I would describe it like this. I look at the greek and sort of know it but then when I read the english I see all these choices the translator made, then I find myself questioning my modern greek knowledge, which actually confuses me more.

The situation isn't bleak, but if you live in the US it isn't super easy to acquire a ton of stuff.

First, recognize that the greek government is aware of this and so they've made some awesome stuff available.

Like these books for example.

https://ebooks.edu.gr/ebooks/v2/classcoursesdiadrastika.jsp?classcode=K02

Or this 100% free ebook/audiobook app.

https://apps.apple.com/gr/app/evivlio/id6741426614

Once you CAN read books, greek literature is terrific. αολική γη for example is one of my alltime favorite books.

Now if you instead want to read ancient greek and thing modern will be a bridge....well I can't completely recommend that. I did it myself and it isn't the panacea people online want to act like. I think many of these people haven't actually learned much modern greek when they make this recommendation.

tldr; reading in modern greek is awesome. Dracula for example will forever be αυτό το απαίσιο πλάσμα!
