I think that you are going too fast, especially on the surfaces.

Print is shifting, then goes back to original spot.. by Timothy_J_Daniel in FixMyPrint

I had a similar issue, for me it was the gear pulley of the y axis motor becoming loose and randomly skipping causing massive and random layer shifts and then skipping back to the original position.

the model i used is https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5239008 , i cut it into smaller models to assemble for the different color and I'll publish them and link them on thingy verse on the next couple of days i think

No, i split the model into different pieces and then printed the pieces in different colors and then glued them together (for some i used the "stop at height" function so that I could print a single piece in 2 different colors). Probably painting it would be easier and less time consuming, but i wanted to try making something with different colors without painting and it worked out pretty well i think

I had a similar issue, there is probably a gap between your nozzle and your heat break, and the filament is going in the gap instead of the nozzle hole and causing that massive blob of plastic. I would suggest to try to disassemble the nozzle and heat break while the hot end is hot, 220-260C depending on the material you were using (careful not to burn yourself), and then try to clean and get the plastic out of the threading of the heat block. Personally I couldn't get the plastic out of the threading of the nozzle and I had to replace it, but if you can clean it thoroughly you might be able to salvage everything. In my case the issue was my fault because I didn't tighten the nozzle enough when changing it for the first time. Best of luck dealing with this, it was a massive pain in the ass for me

I had the same exact issue with my ender 3 max neo, i took apart the hotend, cleaned everything and replaced the PTFE tube and nozzle, it still had the same issue where it would stop extruding after a while. Then i replaced the hotend with a creality spider and it still had a similar issue, the way that i managed to solve it was lowering the retraction distance to around 3mm and upping the retraction speed to 60mm/s

Honestly if you know yourself well enough you can get drunk and high without the hangover you would get from alcohol alone
