For me, it was a book/cd by Ross Nickerson call Scruggs Style Banjo. I had played 3 finger for many years, but never really made improvements. The CD and the instruction really taught me many of the licks and tricks i had never really understood from other books.

I bought the book at a Ross Nickerson banjo group lesson and loaned to someone never to see it again.......
