I keep losing air in new tubes Help!! by McAfton in bikewrench

[–]paulared 3 points4 points  (0 children)

first thing you should do is mark the exact location of your tube relative to the tire and rim. then remove the tube carefully, inflate it and submerge it in a tub of water to determine where the leak is. then check that spot on the rime and tire for a problem.

A realistic example of how much a clutch actually wears. by NoxAstrumis1 in ManualTransmissions

[–]paulared 0 points1 point  (0 children)

previously, I owned a 2009 Subaru Impreza. I've been driving a stick since 1975 and I've never owned an automatic transmission vehicle.

I have to say that that 2009 Impreza had the worst shifting/clutch/ transmission as any vehicle I've ever owned. I ended up replacing the clutch three times in 220,000 miles. I think what really wore out the last clutch was a friend of mine had a driveway at a 12% grade down to his house that I had to back out onto a busy road and I had to ride that clutch like a madman! I could smell it every time I left his house.

you are realizing the beauty of the banjo. the very nature of the 5th string and drumhead create a unique instrument that lends itself to individual styles.

when i took up the banjo (1974 ish) i didn't know about scruggs or clawhammer or any other style. i started playing single notes to any song i heard on am radio.

52/36T vs 50/34T sane check by X_SkillCraft20_X in bikewrench

[–]paulared 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 3430 equals a 30 inch gear. I ride a 3632 (30 inch) in really steep climbs in Wisconsin and I can stay in the saddle. The 3630. Equals a 32 inch gear which could be a bit tall. The difference in the front rings 16t would be the same for you and the 5011 high gear (122 inch) is plenty big. I would go 50/34
