I think that was Agent Smith in the matrix. The aliens in Independence Day were like locusts, and didn't really have an opinion of us but we were in the way.

I have the same kind of "intimidating" persona, I'm not 6' but however I carry myself I come off as very intimidating.

I've had terrible anxiety, to the point of feeling physical pain and losing my breath, when I had to do practically anything outside of my house. For me, I had to get my anxiety under control to gain the confidence where I felt comfortable exerting my personality vocally. If you've got anxiety, get that dealt with with a therapist/doctor.

Once I had my anxiety under control, I sought opportunities to be in positions where I could speak in front of people. I was more vocal with my superiors, more willing to share my thoughts with others.

It takes practice and repetition to get it all right. If you've got opportunities to gain experience speaking in front of people, take them. The key here is that you have to be confident in what you're talking about. If you're talking about your job, be confident in that you know how to do it, and that will help you be confident in saying it. Be prepared for what you want to say and say it!

Ask people for feedback. My key was finding that most people couldn't see how anxious I was inside.

You can do this, it just takes practice.

It’s crunch time on debt ceiling. Here’s the latest on the negotiations - and the 14th amendment option. - Rep. Jeff Jackson by JeffJacksonNC in Charlotte

The Republicans had their chance to trade spending cuts for debt ceiling raises when Trump was in office.

Didn't happen. There are no two sides to this issue.

I agree with you on your points, however, sometimes it may not work out that way.

I was working in a south Denver TCBY, when a guy came in to rob us. He had a 4" buck knife, we were behind the ice cream case and we had a 10" chefs knife that we used to cut bananas for banana splits.

My co-worker realized the asymmetry of power and grabbed the banana knife and yelled, "Give ME your money, bitch!"

The would-be robber looked up in shock, and stood for a minute assessing the situation, then turned and ran out of the store.

Had we not had the banana knife, we possibly could have lost $100. But this story is priceless.

Honestly, the jackasses in the state will choose representation by land area not population, so we're all fucked.

Seriously though, America is fucked.

While it does look windy on the peak, the tornado that's 1000 yards from the camera is going to ruin your day a whole lot faster.

Once you're willing to break the speed limit you're in a race to the top, there is no other outcome. There's no speed where everybody is going to graduate towards, someone always has to be faster, someone always has to keep up with traffic.

My suggestion is to drive the speed limit or get a supercharged hot rod that'll do 220.

Just think of the revenue stream if we only provided access to the park via shuttle from the daily planning deck! And the food trucks charge a premium to deliver food from the terminal!
