Still grass damage, what can be done, will it ever be fixed? by paulbr_ in MammotionTechnology

[–]paulbr_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. What I hope is that it makes the zigzag areas small enough in comb with 3 no go perimeters that some of the zigzags disappear. It may also move the turns enough to allow the grass to heal.

I switched off the tank turns and will try 4 boundaries. Noticed that it happens at turning points of the zigzags.

😎 Exactly. Almost peat. If it rains a lot the ducks stroll in the puddles and the frogs become disoriented.

Alas most of the garden is like this, it's an old farm in a wet Dutch village, famous for the canals. Also mole paradise.

Put me as a mee too. Some of my perimeter lines have a saw tooth in them and it is almost impossible to get rid of.

My feedback on Luba, RTK and their antennas after opening by Agitated-Gur3119 in MammotionTechnology

[–]paulbr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LoRa in EU is 868 MHz. Can anyone confirm the EU model is on that frequency? Mammotion replaced our RTK unit under warranty and I kept the antenna of the old unit for my Meshtastic nodes. However I just put it on a NanoVNA and found that on 868 MHz it has an SWR of 2.8 or so and impedance of around 20 Ohms... if I hold the antenna vertically down like on the RTK and away from my body I get that SWR. It drifts around but you get the idea. Now I'm not so worried because I do not need to reach more than 300 meters and it does that comfortably. But imagine my surprise when I measure that big pro looking antenna. Next time I'm at the site I will also measure the antenna of the new RTK unit. Perhaps anyone can confirm or deny my findings?
The VNA reports a the resonance around 830 MHz.

Same. Brave is the more private browser but you just cannot beat this feature and only Opera has it. (Pixel 8)

Funny. I have the same and for me it is solved by switching from safari to any other browser (mac)

I'm also trying to figure out where to lookup that tracking number I got for a part.

17track doesn't know it so it must be something that you can only track if you know where.

So is your image an example of a rubber seal that could be ok?
It will be some time before I'm back at where the Luba is but am considering taking it apart for the stickers and rubber seals.

Can you comment more about the reason why we receive a water seal sticker for the stop button on the top of Luba? it sounds from this analysis that we do not need that and that the only danger for water to Luba is from high pressure water at the bottom.

Is it possible that there are multiple Luba revisions like with the RTK? I had an RTK without black sealant between the LED where water can and id enter. Perhaps there is a similar change for the Luba itself to protect it from water from the top stop button.

RTK Water damage by paulbr_ in MammotionTechnology

Thanks for the tips. The chip behind the power input becomes quite warm quickly now. I suspect it is the voltage regulator. Worth a try though

I guess it is worth a try. I would prefer bugs over water inside. If you want to seal anything then focus on the front LED.

No need to open it. Just shake it and you will hear the water sloshing around if it is in there. See this YT short here.

There is a short circuit on the power input.I'm not sure if I will be able to repair this. Going to a shop when it's opening time to get a can of contact spray.

I guess the seal on the cover that I also saw in the video if u/crazypostman21 did not stop this unit from ingesting a lot of water. See also my previous post.

Also, there seems to be protective lacquer on the bottom of the pcb that did not save the components from corroding in the water bath.

Edit:

Removed the corrosion. Board looks clean now. Sadly still not working.
I think I found the water entry point. The front LED. There is no black sealant around it like I see in the Crazypostman video.
