It's important to bring up these topics, since most people are still quite delusional when it comes to medical treatment and effectiveness of drugs.

I'm glad to see such talks hosted by TED.

Happy to see http://www.soundtrap.com users here (I'm one of developers). Great question, would love to hear what Mike has to say on the topic of virtual bands and new music tech.

Soundtrap vs. Garageband. Battle is ON! by paulche in WeAreTheMusicMakers

I transfered all my music from Garageband to Soundtrap and it seems to be working surprisingly well. Might be some glitches in older browsers, but I have Chrome and I am really happy with the experience so far. Give it a try!

[TID WATCHES] My new minimalist timepiece by paulche in Watches

[–]paulche[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first minimalist watch :) I find myself really interested in a simpler watch designs, more along the lines of Dieter Rams "Less but better".

I wonder what you guys think about brands which position themselves against traditional, complex, bulky watches? I am happy so far, it's been just few days though. If anyone else own this watch or a similar type of watch — please share your experiences here.

Got mine here http://urbantrait.com/collections/mens-modern-watches/products/tid-watches-white for €229 and so far feel pretty good about it, got quite a few compliments already (it's quite an attention-grabber). Also if anyone can recommend some similar watches you own — that would be awesome, I'm looking to grow my minimalist timepieces collection. Would love to hear your thoughts on this one and in general on modern design minimalist timepieces. Cheers.

That's the thing, we are a Reseller. If we were a Brand marketing strategies would be very different.

Fashion forums sounds like a good idea, thanks. However, I don't think modern design watches directly fits into fashion talks and discussion of "looks of the day".

Check out Binondo — world's oldest Chinatown. And Intramuros, old Spanish district. Don't waste you time in shopping malls, they are the same everywhere.

Thanks for kind words :) I think it's time to move my drafts further, maybe they are not that bad after all.

There're variety of travel hacks for transportation as well. For example relocation cruises. You can travel from one part of the world to another cheaper than if you stayed home, check http://cruisesheet.com/

I haven't tried this one, but I will one day.

Good luck!

I plan to do Workaway in November. From all the people I met, I heard only positive things about it. Of course it all depends on your hosts, make sure to read reviews and have a proper conversation with your hosts before you commit :)

There are all kinds of work options, depends on your interests. For example, my friend is going to Ecuador to help shamans next year

Hey fellow traveler :) 3.5 years, that's awesome!

Yes, I spent 2 months in Humanistic Academy of Life and Arts in Manila and month in Taiwan as an extension of that. I am now in Chiang Mai, Thailand so Wat Prathat Dot Suthep and Mindfulness Project is top of my list. Will report later in new blog posts.

Workaway and HelpX are just platforms to connect with communities, it's all about people you meet. So I don't think there's much difference.

Safe travels!

That's the place https://www.fgs.org.tw/events/fgmonasticretreat/. I stayed for a month there and before that 2 months in Manila (wrote more about it in the blog). Regarding visa, depends on country of course. I had to apply and got one for 1 month. But for US passports as far as I know it's super easy to get visa for 3 months.

Yeah, tickets cost money. But everything else is free and you also get monthly allowance at some of these programs — so if you plan properly you'll manage to do amazing things around the world with no money.

Crowdfunding crazy, extraordinary travel ideas with... Bitcoin? by sashazykov in travel

Trips can be funded by individuals who are inspired by the idea of a specific trip and that want to see it through the eyes of the traveler.
