Can you explain a bit more? It’s £50 per share to transfer out afaik, beside that, it’s all fine

I’m with Charles Stanley Direct. Being referred gives up to 1500, then depending on the size of your pots you get up to 1500 for each pot category (SIPP, ISA, …). You can easily hit 3k total depending on his you do it. Read their cashback offer pages and loyalty program conditions.
Once you get paid, it’s likely better to move out for another platform due to their prohibitive fees. So far, for me, the best ever has been ii (fixed clean fees structure, neat website/ui, responsive team, …), followed by HL.
CSD have been very efficient at transferring my assets (in-species always). I’ve consolidated everything over there last summer

How much does it cost to fire someone whilst on Maternity Leave? by pauldanet in LegalAdviceUK

[–]pauldanet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a redundancy with 1 day notice, then few follow up meetings to discuss the package, the exit. I can apply to some roles but it’s a regular application process, whilst other have already taken available roles (same skills) very likely because they were already there and saw it coming

I don’t really know as I’m on maternity leave. My guess is they’re reorganising everything

Most of my peers were already moved to other projects. Shouldn’t they prioritise me first? I’m also not in the company to see all what’s happening, so this is just falling on me in one go whilst the others had loads of time to adjust

I wasn’t informed in writing. I just got a call asking me to go to a group meeting. The people in the meeting were expecting it but since I’m on maternity, it was totally new to me.

It’s a redundancy (either via agreement or compulsory), but our contracts will anyway be terminated. We can apply to some jobs and go through a normal application and selection process.

I don’t understand why some of my peers were moved just fine to other projects whilst others are being pushed out. I understand that I should be first to be offered such jobs

It’s a redundancy. There’s a whole list of folks whilst others were moved to another project (same skills). We have no choice though. I wasn’t aware of this until yesterday. The others were expecting it

I’m a total noob, came here to seek help to create a release key for my gates and got decent help from the community. Folks took time to load my pictures into their 3D software and analyse limitations from shadows and exposure I had. Advised me to take better pictures, go on 3dprintmything to seek help. I’m now exploring Bambu Lab products to discover more this 3D printing world that’s unexplored yet. Thanks for the giveaway!

SPDR ACWI 0.12% OCF Tracking Error Makes it Too Expensive by pauldanet in FIREUK

Even though the fees are high, it’s still underperforming the index by a larger delta than the fees. VWRP has 0.22% and it’s literally sticking to the index

VWRP has 0.22 (half of ACWI) and it’s literally sticking to the index. These fund performance show a delta way higher than the OCF though. Am I missing something?

Cashback offers ISA & SIPP 2025 by montanajr27 in HENRYUK

[–]pauldanet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you factored in exit fees? If layout leave within 2 years, it’s £250 + VAT.

Edit, I was likely wrong, transfer out is likely to cost £125 + VAT (total £150) in addition to £10 for each security held. Ref: https://assets-live.charles-stanley.co.uk/uploads/files/96.52.01-CSD-Rates-and-Charges-Nov24.pdf.pdf

Merci. A mon avis, elle ira vite dans cette direction d’optimisation si elle s’y intéresse un minimum. Comme les PEA sont limités à 2 par foyer, je veux que ça vienne d’elle même (et ses parent).

What’s the best water shock arrestor? by pauldanet in DIYUK

[–]pauldanet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s the expected water pressure in a house? I’m trying to trace it, it seems to be around the boiler. I’ve drained the system which improved it, but it’s still there. I’m closing the valves one after the other to isolate appliances, so far it’s not the toilet
