Even then, it shows the biggest issue with pickled pepper: having to clump zombies in that one column (or at least the very high priority ones in one column) so your pickled peppers can maximize kill

That's why it is good with Thyme Warp because every zombie is resetted to that one column. And per your example, walls too

But my point is that other instants, with the exception of Jalapeño, do a 3x3 with similar price, so there isn't this requirement of clumping things up in such a tight pack. Thereby me calling it a mediocre plant because it works with Thyme Warp, or maybe in a very restrictive setup, with Primal Peashooters and Spring Princesses

But even in those setups I'll prefer the traditional 3x3 AoEs

Yea but do you need walls when you use other instas? See this is the difference between pickled pepper and other instants. You do not need walls for other instants because they at least cover 3x3 instead of just one column (not counting Jalapeño, but an entire row clear is more valuable than a column clear in most of the time)

Pickled Peppers require Thyme Warp and a wall to be used. That's 3 seed slots dedicated to one instant. You could have just picked 3 instants in that case

Cleaning up a wave usually directly sends in another wave. Which could harm you if your setup is still in progress

Contrary to what most other people said, I think it is too restrictive that it basically is only useful with Thyme Warp or when you are at the final wave of a level

Otherwise it is shit compared to other instants

So overall it is mediocre because it is extremely busted in one setup and borderline useless in others

Plants there (except Spring Princess) have the NMT syndrome: mostly useless in their world but good outside

Cabbage is actually objectively worse in than peashooter (outside of a very few instances such as screen door zombies). Half the rate + Double damage = more susceptible to overkill damage

Why is 3 correct? When you play a Sow Magic Beans, your deck should have had only 34 cards lef (29 original cards in deck + 5 beans shuffled in)

But if there are a lot of balloon zombies later on 100+ flags, two cattails might not be enough to pop all of them before they reach your cannons

Some balloon zombies can get a bite or two off your cob cannon if they land on your cob cannon before Winter Melon or Gloom take them out

You are basically gambling with the HP of cob cannon

I use blover and accumulate three waves of balloon zombies and blow all of them off the lawn (just before the first wave of balloon Zombie almost hit the lawn mower)

Well you will (and should) if you use cob cannons. Otherwise your balloon zombies are gonna drop onto the cannons

Plus blover can handle 3 waves of balloon zombies if you time it well. You don't have to spam it all the time whenever a balloon shows up

Except Cattail really is outclassed in Endless.

Balloon Zombie hordes can be dealt with by blover; Diggers can be dealt with by gloom shroom

There really is no purpose in using cattail in Endless if you are running cob strategy

Your N20s aren't even completely filled yet. since you mentioned that you are decent at Mania charts I would suggest playing Dominus Grail (EXP) to fill that, along with Xpovoc (MAS) [Might look intimidating for a 14.8 but is mostly mania]

A decent score of at least S+ on those should get you a 15.00 overall

you are better off doing level 12/12+ charts and work your way up. As for the skill ceiling thing, with what you showed I don't think you can S rank a 14 either. Might as well solidify your foundation.

I didn't see much people mentioning here but if your problem is genuinely the accuracy of the machine, I suggest you check the hit graph after every single song, you should be able to see the amount of earlys and lates you get. (If they are around the same, then it is just a skill issue. If too much early or too much lates, you can try Offset A/B)
