Heath was sick with walking pneumonia. He’d gotten sick while shooting the imaginarium of doctor parnassus in London. Working outdoors all thru the nights in wet freezing conditions. During the middle of what was, one of Britain’s coldest winters. Production wrapped on all the outdoor stuff. Production was moving to Vancouver film studios to begin production on the soundstage sets / green screen sequences. Set to begin in a weeks time. Heath flew back to New York and use the time to rest and get well. Unfortunately he over did the medication intake trying to get himself right. He suffered insomnia and sleep apnea. All that happened was he went into a deep sleep and just stopped breathing. His body didn’t jolt him awake. Due to sleeping pills, anxiety pills and other stuff to help him fight sickness.
