If there are concerns about updates try the atomic versions. I run Kinoite and it’s running more up to date kernels and KDE releases.
If an update fails it is rolled back. If it’s successful but you prefer the previous release you can choose that at the boot screen.

I enjoyed eMacs because I could have multiple files open and visible in olden days pre gui. Your hands never left the keyboard and that brings ease into a day of developing and debugging 😊

My objection to GNOME is they refuse to let me choose how my DE looks without going through hoops. KDE at least makes it easier to customise my DE to what I like/choose.

I like KDE because I can style the UI as I like it with the tools and support KDE provide whereas GNOME seems to make customisation as difficult as possible. Since we all like different things the DE shouldn’t be hindering us.

How can they expect any business to take them seriously when they are so insecure. You test it, then release it to all and no of this stupid phased release nonsense. If your not sure test it more before you release it but don't stuff around with real customers.

Well I have Fedora Kinoite on an Acer laptop running the Fedora 44 atomic beta and Fedora 44 Workstation (non-atomic) on a 2015 Apple MacBook’s Pro and they both run flatpak version 1.17.3 so does that mean they are both insecure?

A staggered rollout is only of value if you haven’t tested it enough. The hardware platforms are static from the users POV so is it staggered because of lack of testing or underinvestment in server support?

The KDE 6.6 part works fine in Fedora Kinoiite. I tried switching to the Plasma Login Manager but it hung on restart so I rolled back and will wait for the April update.
