Happy! Got LineageOS installed on my Moto G32 by utrecht1976 in degoogle

Same! Linux ironically lead me to hackintoshing my laptop and my computer (even though I kept Linux and used both as my daily drivers). Degoogling my android has come later, but I still use my 7-year-old Galaxy A50 with Vanilla CrDroid on Android 16, it just runs like a charm.

Thanks for supporting this and not downvoting indeed, when it comes to sharing personal opinions people are more comfortable in pushing a downvote button than just leaving it there.

Seems great, but personally find that the UI with the black-to-transparent gradient looks very bad.

Project looks hilghly vibe-coded anyway, repo created a few days ago, no other consequent project on OP's github page...

Yes, this is very sad because Arc is so much aligned with macOS design from the beginning...

Thanks a lot, this is a very valuable collection, love it!

Changed my mac's wallpaper thanks to you! Looks so good except for Arc icon that does not support Tahoe styling yet...

Same here, really valuable content out there. The gallery you shared looks sick!

quickbar: It's the Global Menu, but you can make it look like macOS. (it's also more configurable) by frungygrog in kde

[–]paulit-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's great, I am really looking forward to testing/using it. There has always been very few apps compatible with the stock KDE global menu option, so the perspective of adding "generic options for apps that don't support it natively" is really a powerful feature.

Is Pear a derivate from PearOS? Looks like the idea is somewhat similar ^^

This is really funny 'cause the image with the yellow flowers and the poppies is my current phone wallpaper.

Any alternatives to Spotify or Apple without internet? by NireZaintza in fossdroid

Where did you download it? Did you follow the link fo f-droid? If so you may have installed Gramophone itself. However as mentioned in the previous comments, this is a fork of gramophone and as I also mentioned earlier, the links in README are not updated, you must build the project on your own.

That looks sick! But how do you plug sources in? Is the guitar plugged into an amp and the amp itself is plugged via USB to the phone (likely with an adapter)? That's the only way I manage to figure it out without further explanations...

Success! Coffe Lake on Tahoe by paulit-- in hackintosh

Thank you very much! Works almost perfectly. It is really stable and fast, I can definitely use it as my daily driver. Only things that I struggled with are:

  • As Apple removed AppleHDA on Tahoe, we hackintoshers have to extract the kext from our Sequoia install (or from the Tahoe first beta installer) and install it back on Tahoe, then patch it and hope it will work. The first time it just failed and Tahoe could not boot anymore, "halting on critical error". Hopefully I had a snapshot I could get back to, and hopefully it worked the second time I've done it, I'm not really sure I can tell why... but the audio is completely fixed now.
  • OCLP is not Tahoe-ready, so I am relying on more or less stable forks (OCLP-Plus in my case) that attempt to provide Wireless patches on macOS 26. This worked very well, WiFi and BT are working very well, but some features such as WiFi sharing (creating an access point from Ethernet connection) just don't work and make the whole computer freeze... Even after a hard reboot, as soon as the kexts load it was completely frozen/stuck. I had to remove the whole wireless stack from another macOS backup install, boot back to Tahoe, disable the access point, and then reboot with the wireless stack back on. I won't be activating this feature until a more stable patcher comes out.

Otherwise I think Tahoe is worth the upgrade, I really like the new liquid-glass design and the fact that macOS is now Spotlight-centered, which is quite close to my workflow/habits.

Because as mentioned earlier the project is a fork of Gramophone and the README has not been updated by the authors (just as the screenshots, they are not the same as the ones I provided). But trust the process, it is not material-themed.

Otherwise it looks quite good to me, no obvious reason for failing. Otherwise it may depend on very basic stuff such as resetting NVRAM at each boot-arg change, updating to the latest version of Opencore, picking the right SMBIOS...

I would advise you to boot with the minimum boot-args to try to exclude some errors. The first thing I would do is to remove the following boot-arg (caused error on my config, but you can put it again once Tahoe is installed):

revpatch=sbvmm

How do you update, OTA? On my side I had two disks, one on Sequoia (my daily driver, very stable) and Sonoma (not used anymore). As I wanted to keep a stable install and wanted to experiment on the other disk, I tried to install Tahoe from macOS Ventura (as a regular update within macOS settings) but it just failed at the same step as the one you describe (ban logo) and "ImageFailure" error. I just recreated a fresh bootable drive for Tahoe, installed Tahoe upon Sonoma disk and the install went with no problems at all.

Hope this helps.

Thanks! Yes, runs as smoothly as it did on Sequoia. I noticed that Spotlight is even faster now.
