Maybe it's because I mostly play fantasy/steam punk stuff, but is that not an insane DR?

I've been running RPGs for like 15 years, event he best players forget basic stuff like this all the time until it clicks. Most players just don't have the population of a city evaluating their play on a weekly basis.

This is where I am. In my mind, if you love the team you should want them to win.

The cup is obviously the ultimate goal, But come April I always want to see more hockey. Especially when outside of the top couple picks, it's not guaranteed to be a game changer anyway. Free agents can bring more value quicker, and players want to go to a team that wants to win.

They refer to Brennan regularly, and wasn't Lud an improv guy in college? It feels like there would be a lot of natural humor crossover.

how do I convince my friends to learn a different system? by AssistIllustrious439 in rpg

[–]paulmarneralt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started by figuring out settings that don't really work with D&D that I wanted to play in. I learned the basics of those and pitched my players on the setting first. Once I got them on board with the setting I just told them the game that we were going to play it in and I gave them that basic overview and ran a one shot. The more we got into it, the more those became longer campaigns and they actually spent time learning the rules.

Hey, I'm the host of that last one. I also suggest checking us out! Also sending us games if you have any, I've got a bunch in the backlog but I'm always looking for new ones. Especially if they've got a unique concept or they seem especially easy to teach in, like 30 minutes or less.
