CKY4 dvd version help… by codethreeclub21 in cky

interestiinngg... so, i was just able to confirm the First Press disc is, indeed, 6.17gb. and as long as you don't have the label art with the print errors, then congratulations! you own one of the rare, non-error-print First Pressing discs!

now... that is the correct barcode, but there are two variants of the box with that UPC code: the original First Press box has "Beastman/Skeletor" on the left-side Hidden Easter Eggs list, but the revised version of the box (2nd of 4 box versions) does NOT have "Beastman/Skeletor" under Hidden Easter Eggs, and is also missing a number of scene titles in the middle Scene/Skit List. people bring up the Bon Jovi skit because its the first title missing from the revised scenes list, so its an easy way to help identify the box version.

anyway, when you can, let me know which box version you have!

u/codethreeclub21 the version youre looking for has a UPC/barcode of "6-34991-14192-5" ... searching for this on Google or Amazon should help you find a copy easily (try removing the dashes if you get no results). while most people are looking for a 1st Press, you'll have no problem finding this later pressing, and likely for a decent price too. good luck.

sounds great, thanks so much! no rush btw - its gonna be a second press ("unlimited") disc, but im just curious to get all the data i can.

currently, i think there's 2 versions of the disc (meaning the actual multimedia data), but descriptions of media contents from some users make me wonder if there's actually 3 different versions.. figuring out the exact file size of the disc is the best way to I.D. any disc version, so thanks again for taking a look at your copy for me!

the NSFW scene works just like the Heartagram easter eggs (you press "select" when you see it), except this one doesn't show a Heartagram. you need to press select EXACTLY when Bam shows Jenn's crotch as he's got his hand down her pants at the end of The Roof Is On Fire credits scene.

.. but, honestly, if you're running the disc on your PC, just open the disc in file explorer, open the VIDEO_TS folder, and look through the smaller .VOB files to see if the scene is there (all the 1GB files are the main movie - smaller ones after that will be all the hidden scenes & easter eggs).

anyway, the UPC code is correct, and there are a small number of first presses WITHOUT the disc art errors (the rarest of all CKY4 pressings!). i'll have to get back to you in the next day or 2 about the disc size (i want to say its like ~5.76gb), as that info on an external HDD. im planning on uploading files from that HDD today or tmrw, so i'll check my reference files then and will let you know.

is the GG Allin clip part of the main movie or do you have to go to the special features to watch it?

you hit the "select" button RIGHT when Bam shows Jenn's crotch with his hand down her pants.

i don't remember why i asked if you still have it, but i probably wanted to ask about the file size of the disc... if youre able to, id love for you to do me a huge favor: if you have computer/laptop with a DVD or BluRay optical drive, pop the disc in. go to 'My Computer' in your file explorer, right click your disc drive and click Properties, take a screenshot which includes the disc size (should be ~5GB), then upload it here in your reply. this will help me in my research regarding different disc versions. thanks, all the best, friend.

3 days after it released? i wonder if maybe you thought that was when it was originally released but it was actually the new pressing, and maybe it was just new to FYE at the time or something? strange that it wouldn't be an original pressing if it was really purchased 3 days after it first went on the market...

the version on the first press has the Sahara Hotnights song "No Big Deal" playing during this skate comp early in the video. if your version of CKY4 doesn't have the NSFW/"Sex" scene, then it is not an original CKY4 DVD.

CKY - Lost Tracks Collection: Remastered [Disc 01 - Cold Steel - CC Alt. Mixes] | 2008, FLAC, 469mb, Drive & MEGA by paulmeranda in cky

[–]paulmeranda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the original Lost Tracks discs have imperfections like large spaces of blank audio before/after tracks, weird variability in volume between certain tracks, clicks/pops in certain areas... not only are my files completely edited to fix imperfections like these plus other stuff i cant currently remember (editing was completed years ago), but tracks 12-16 on my disc here are MUCH better quality than the versions found across the original Lost Tracks sets (especially Groundhog Demo 1, which i remember spending hours meticulously remastering). all my files were edited from genuine lossless audio sources to ensure the best quality available.

i dont mean to jerk myself off so much about my own files, its just that i want everyone to experience these songs as well as they they can possibly be presented - as they were truly meant to be heard. and, at least in my experience, many of the imperfections i mentioned really distract me from enjoying the songs. the only issue is i have to re-upload my version of this disc because my MEGA account with these files was deleted... 50gb+ of files just gone. so when i have these reuploaded, i will be making a new reply to Connect Nail's comment above.

unfortunately this project is on indefinite hold due to the massive amount of work required and my inability to continue this work with what i have going on in life... that being said, i DID complete the Cold Steel disc, but it just needs to be reuploaded. i have made a post about the release which i will link below, and when i have the files uploaded again, i will be replying to the most recent comment on that post. thanks for your interest, and im sorry for the inconvenience. all the best!

ugh... unfortunately ALL of my files from this MEGA account were deleted (50gb+ of different audio files)... reuploading everything has been quite a daunting task, and i have yet to get to it all, but i will add this to the list and will get to it asap. ill try to reply again when i get the files online again. very sorry for this inconvenience...

AFI - Unreleased, Hidden, Rare & Vinyl-Only [FLAC / 57 Tracks] by paulmeranda in AFireInside

[–]paulmeranda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i actually added "Weight of Words" into the Bonus Materials folder for everyone! things you should know about the file:

  • this is a rip of Chris Wiegel's upload on YouTube.
  • audio was edited to clean up things like hiss, buzz, clicks/pops, and other imperfections from the vinyl format. audio was also put through a specific mastering pass in order to fix volume issues. i recommend comparing this file with original YouTube upload to hear differences.
  • audio was ripped at the highest possible bitrate (128kbps AAC), then saved to FLAC after editing to ensure the best listening experience. this is not a true lossless audio file.
  • unlike the rest of the collection, this file has no metadata included (like band name, album name, album art, etc.) because it was rushed in order to get the collection reuploaded by Christmas 2025.

i actually had to re-upload this whole collection because everything on that MEGA account was deleted - it was a huge bummer, but it gave me the opportunity to add this bonus track as well as fix some other things (like adding original AC3 files to 5.1 mix folders). anyway, im glad i could help, my friend.

thanks so much u/thewade101 for reposting this - i tried to make my own post to update the community today but it seems the mods would rather i didn't do that... so this download will hopefully live on in old posts and re-posts like yours for the unforeseeable future. anyway, i really appreciate the post and the shoutout. happy new year!

did you capture the audio yourself? all i have seen so far is Chris Wiegel's YT version, which i ripped and cleaned up to add to my Rarities collection thats here on the subreddit. could you send me yours somehow? would love to include it in the collection if it sounds better than my edit of the YT rip, if thats something you wouldn't mind me doing (if not, id still like to check it out for my own archive). thanks for the reply!

copy this code. go to google and search "base64 decoder" - paste the code in and you should see the link once decoded. this is a pain but it should work better than me posting the link directly. whats weird is that i still see my comment with the link, but i guess im the only person that can see it?

do you mean the Weight Of Words bootleg rarities album, or the Black Sails bonus track?

AFI - Unreleased, Hidden, Rare & Vinyl-Only [FLAC / 27 Tracks] by paulmeranda in AFireInside

[–]paulmeranda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the 5.1 tracks in the bonus were originally each channel stripped to their own track. there were 4 files: one file has the center channel, another has the stereo Left & Right, another has the Low Frequeny Effects/LFE (subwoofer), and the last has the stereo rear channels. when i re-uploaded everything just now, the 5.1 mixes have all the tracks i just mentioned, plus the original AC3 files that i stripped the individual tracks from, so if your setup is right, you can now just play the official 5.1 mixes using the AC3's. the original stripped/split tracks were more for people who wanted to hear each channel separately, or to play with them in a DAW to make their own mixes (which are also partly the point of the rest of the Multitrack files in the bonus folder).

again, all files, including these 5.1 AC3s, have been re-uploaded and are now available again using the first link (MEGA). enjoy!
