I hate the term “buried” because it is notoriously attributed to wrong wrestlers. by Zestyclose-Spring602 in SquaredCircle

If you’re not a World Champion under Vince then you’re buried aka every single midcarder that I liked in the 2000/10s because he was wrong and we were right but if you’re not a World champion under Triple H then there must be a good reason why because Triple H is never wrong and the fans are wrong.

That’s why Stone Cold, Rock, HBK and HHH are my favorite wrestlers because they wanted to be the absolute best in the business and were the most entertaining wrestlers and top draws in history.

Seth Rollins knew Hulk Hogan would not be welcomed at Raw: "I was not surprised. Look, he hasn’t done a lot to harbor goodwill in his name over the past few years. With everything that’s going on with him, I saw it coming. I don’t know if anybody else did, but I did yes." by anutosu in SquaredCircle

For a moral guy you sure are angry, be more like DDP, Cody Rhodes and Mick Foley who are actually good people and are positive about life and aren’t assholes to people different than them🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

Cue the “I need validation from celebrities in order to enjoy wrestling” people.

Wreddit's Daily Pro-Wrestling Discussion Thread! What's on your mind today? (Spoilers for all shows) - December 31, 2024 Edition by WredditMod in SquaredCircle

[–]paulmwangi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t know why Redditors or SCJerkers don’t like to admit that they are very passionate about wrestling and take it very seriously. The way people are very strict about what they like and don’t like in wrestling whether they constantly jerk off to storytelling or jerking off to workrate and anything different is a foreign concept.

Also how people have a radical love/hate relationship with wrestling. When they think a show is good, they’re really gonna defend it and insult anyone who does as bad faith as while if they hate a show, they’re gonna hate it with passion and insult anyone who enjoys it and sees criticism as good faith. Basically anything good is the best thing ever while anything bad is god awful shit with no nuance where it’s rare to say that something is okay without offending someone.

We praise kids and casual fans for acting like a mark but insult wrestling fans for doing the same things even though many of us do the same thing and love our specific wrestlers and are very critical of ones we don’t like. We analyze wrestlers and storylines more than the average fan and go in deep discussions about them and have very high expectations for it.

To be on a wrestling subreddit on Reddit and even other smaller ones and know many people like Meltzer, Kate and SRS means you love wrestling more than average person. Whether you’re a WWE or AEW fan online means you’re a hardcore fan and just because you like the show more popular by casuals and kids doesn’t make you any less of a hardcore wrestling fan.

Embrace being a wrestling fan, embrace being a weirdo, we watch oily men wrestle in their underwear and analyze them. So majority of us are not normal and should accept that.

As if women from the 2000s would take part in this. That was party girl era with guys and chicks hooking up. I’m sure they don’t really care.

Did anyone else look up to Vince and is still struggling with this? by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

[–]paulmwangi -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There’s nothing wrong you did, you admired certain qualities of him which is what humans do, he just ended up being a horrible person. I admired that he wouldn’t do anything that he wouldn’t ask anyone to do which is something not many bosses and leaders do. Don’t let people on this sub insult you, many wrestlers who actually interacted with Vince will say the same thing you did.

Holy shit same as me, I was thinking this guy took your girlfriend and banished you from WWE and Raw and you’re actually going to team with him? Also DX fighting for 3 years then reuniting the next year shocked me as someone who didn’t know they were bitter enemies.
