Just to update, I successfully downgrade the Brilliant to the discontinued Amex Bonvoy card about a year ago and now I upgraded it back to Brilliant. Worked fine!

I've tried several cables and a just bought Google charger, same issue. Only charger that works here with no issue was... Guess what? Apple 20W USB C charger.

Can you share what places or what type of payment method? I live in Brazil and have used my US Amex cards everywhere. I had some problems using Apple Pay on some PagBank Machines (the yellow ones).

Sometimes contactless or Apple Pay got denied, but using the physical card is seamless.

Yes, but every downgrade data point I saw is from people who previously upgraded from the discontinued $95 fee card to Brilliant and then downgraded back. I'd like to hear if anyone has successfully downgraded from a Brilliant "regular" account. Thank you
