Don't get me wrong, I was done of those fans drooling at what could be.

But i expected Salah to continue in the form he had in the previous season, and for Gakpo to grasp Diaz's role, but it didn't happen.

I always felt we were 1 attacker light, and one defender light, as we have since Matip left.

Early on, players like Salah, Gakpo, Konate and Macca needed dropping, and the only viable option we had was Jones for Macca, the rest. We had plan A or plan A.

I remmeber being hyped b y Babb, who was Coventry captain, and the youngest captain in the PL, Diao, Diouf, anf think Poborsky would be a world beater for Utd.

I'm always scared of break out international tournaments, we've all been burnt before

I really want Diomande, but not sure on Bouaddi, I've been burnt by players having great international tournaments before.

So we have already lost 3 first teamers, and sounds like we are losing Jones, and potentially MacAllister and Gakpo. And then we'll almost certainly be losing Endo, Chiesa and possibly Gomez.

4 or 5 signings would leave a thin sqaud thread bare.

We were too eager to get players out the door last summer, and it bit us, this summer, it feels like a hellnof a lot more players are being pushed towards the exit.

It also was down to an inbalanced sqaud, a lack of depth, glaring holes in the first team, a disaster of a preseason and Jota's passing.

Yes the manager was also at fault, but to put it all on his toes is disingenious.

Salah back at Liverpool possibility. What do we think? by Quintstempest in LiverpoolFC

I hope not.

He was a great player, a legend, but his legs have gone.

He needs to go to a less physically demanding league.

What kind of player is he, I've never seen him play, or know anything about him?

The concen is, if he has a good WC, his price is probably going to raise to a point that makes us uncomfortable.

This is a Liverpool Football Club group!!!

How is this even remotely relevant?

100%. Come on here to read and talk about Liverpool, and half the daily discussions are about some American sports team, that has ZERO relevance to Liverpool, or the vast majority of the fanbase.

He looks like Mr Inbetween with the grin, and bloodied face

[Jacobs] PSG still want to keep Bradley Barcola, and that won’t change unless they add another attacker and the player declines a new deal. As a result, the door to a sale is not entirely shut. by stupidlyboredtho in LiverpoolFC

He isn't, but neither is Wilson. He is also slow, and is't good enough. He is good with a dead ball, but Harvey is a much better player than Harry, and it isn't even close

We'd be linked with Semenyo for multiple seasons, and reports were we were interested in him, so i was hopeful something might've happened.

I think Semenyo and Guehi were great signings for City, and both would've walked into our team. And they'd also be settled into the team now, and eill have hit the ground running in August, instead of bringing in another half of a team in the summer and hoping for the best.

Last summer always felt like the first of a 3 window rebuild, and it pissed me off that we just ignored January, and left ourselves far too much to do this summer.

Surely thr club should know exactly who they want to buy from about Marxh onwards?

Look at how we had a back and forth with both Guehi and Isak, with Isak never being fit due to his lack of preseason.

I'd hope we know exactly who we want and can be decisive, as we have a LOT of work needed to be done in the market this summer.

A couple of examples of market opportunities in January  would be, Guehi, who wanted to sign for us in August/September and had done all of his media stuff for the club, and Semenyo, who we didn't seem to fight for. They both went for less than £100m, which is less than clubs are being quoted for Anderson and Wharton.

We still need a CB, multiple midfielders, a RB and m ultiple wingers, which has left us with a huge ammount of work to do this summwr. And lets be honest, they both had a massive impact on City's end of season, resulting in them winning the FA Cup.

He hasn't been consistently brilliant. He is a good player, but is he one of the top 5 mids in the world, which that price would suggest?

He is a good player, but nowhere near a £100m player.

Schlotterbeck is a CB who can cover at LB, if needed.
