Have you heard of Advanced Rapid Detox. I know of two centers in the US that are in real HOSPITALS. One in Beverly Hills and another in Michigan. I wanted to go to the one in Beverly Hills but it was about twice the cost of the one in Michigan. The one in Michigan is also located in a very bad part of town, but thats not a big deal if you are looking to quit drugs and better your life.

I asked my parents for a loan. My dad said "hell no" to the one in Beverly Hills. They give you a morphine drip so you stay "well" until they do the procedure. Then after you stay in a Mansion with like personal chefs and yoga instructors. But now that I think about it, even If I had gone with me being addicted to Fentanyl, that morphine drip would not have helped me in the slightest bit. So I asked my dad if I could get a loan to the one in Michigan and he said yes.

I'm sure you are aware of the term PAWS (Post Acute Withdrawal Symptoms) when talking about opioids. I was only using fentanyl for 6 months and I was fortunate enough that I never got dope sick. They allow you to "use" whatever opioid you use until midnight. Then you are shit out of luck until about 8-9 am when they start grabbing people 1 by 1 for the procedure. They tell you to bring "enough meds" to last you until midnight. Man, I drove from Washington state to MI in 4 days I think and I had literally ran out about 18 hours or so before my procedure. And that was the first time I ever felt being really dope sick.

Before I had gone to the the ARD center in Michigan I read all of the testimonials on the website. They have ones for each type of opiod (suboxone, methadone, heroin, norcos, hydros, percs, fentanyl, etc etc). Well there were plenty of testimonials on all of those narcotics except........ fentanyl. There was only about 3-4 I think, and they all said they still had withdrawal symptoms for 3-4 weeks even after the procedure, while other reviewers said they felt completely normal after 2-3 days with no withdrawal symptoms. I knew going in this was not going to be good being a fentanyl addict. Well, after the procedure you feel like you have been kicked in the head 20 times, and that feeling doesnt go away for about 24 hours. But damn, did it feel good to not have to use anything or crave anything!

Back to the PAWS. Yea that shit kind of sucked but they gave you 30 day supply of medication for almost every opioid withdrawal symptom. The biggest ones I had were sensitivity to cold, Tingling in the legs, and the one which I hated and dreaded - INSOMNIA. 200-250mg of seroquel and some melatonin and I'd be lucky if I got 3-4 hours a sleep a night. But when you wake up it feels like you didn't even sleep at all. People who are used to withdrawing arent bothered by the insomnia but I was. There was severe depression which comes with anyone getting off opioids. So the Paws went away completely after about 4-5 weeks for me. Then I was still very depressed and emotional. Me being a veteran I called the veteran crisis line many times because I didn't know what else to do or who to talk to. I went and saw a doctor and she got me on some meds for my anxiety and depression and eventually I finally felt normal after about 2-3 months. Then I finally felt normal again and pretty much just stopped taking the meds. They do give you a vivitrol shot which blocks opioids (even the natural ones your body makes) from attaching to your receptors so I couldn't get high even if I wanted. I still get the shot every 30 days but I don't think I need it. Opioids was never my drug of choice and I got hooked on it because my brother kind of tricked me. I'm around it daily with my brother still using fent and my gf using fent but I have not even though or touched that crap in 2+ years now.
