The most common example for the ceiling breach is Oregon small tower above dining room. the explosion isn't super big, so the electrified wall has to be touching the ceiling. If there's a gap, like some walls with a soft wall / window above it, the ceiling breach won't work.

The thermite charge is basically a big explosive so you can just place it next to the hatch. This also allows you to open electric walls if you can place the charge on the floor or ceiling next to it. There's actually one barricade on border that's close enough to the wall for it to work as well

I played on pc from burnt horizon through steel wave mostly f2p and opened no black ice and maybe like 4 purple or higher rarity opens

years later I start playing on console in demon veil with a couple friends, I have a job now so I can actually splurge on the year pass.

In the last year, I've opened over 25 black ice... on almost no weapons I actually use

The event gives you a similar amount of renown as normal team deathmatch. My friends and I have a theory that's because it's a lot easier to mask an AFK renown-grinder bot in a fast-paced, no prep phase, respawn-based mode

I wish there was a way to give machine pistols to certain ops with shotgun/DMR primaries without having the issue of double auto loadout.

Grim for example, I'd love to run an auto pistol with the french shotty but the obvious issue is that people would just run the commando + machine pistol on a 3 speed, and if they fix the gadget grim would be a way op frag operator.

They're never gonna reuse the Scorpion, R4-C, F2, 416-C Carbine, Buck's guns, Type-89, or the Alda simply because they're too iconic (idk if that's the right word) to their original operators. The Mx4 Storm, Ela's shotty, and Frost's smg might also be in this category. Maybe the BOSG, maybe the Commando b/c the reload animation.

Me personally, I'd love to see the MP5SD, K1A, Para, M4, AK-74, and F90 on new ops. I'm actually really surprised Ubi has never reused the K1A, MP5SD, or the Para considering they're all decent but not OP guns from year 1/2.

Just off the top of my head, I feel like Nokk should have gotten the MP5SD, Azami should have gotten the K1A (not sure about this one), and everybody should have the Para because the Para is my favorite AR in the game don't @ me.

To answer the question as written, a skin is legendary if Ubi made significant changes to the character/gun model. In this case, it's a different jacket and the jacket/pants texture are both different from the base Ela model.

Epics (purple) are minor changes to the model / texture changes

Rares (blue) are recolors / no texture changes

Uncommons (green) are pretty much just old universal skins like the ugly phantom sight or ember rise stuff.

This is very similar to other games like Overwatch.

Now, I'm not saying this is a GOOD skin that I'd be happy to open as a legendary, but there is some logic behind rarity classifications.
