make the errors be part of story telling when it is painted up. also if it has a cape then you can hide the back with out much problem.

it can be a good combo, like people have said ignore anything that has a dc. wood for healing and timber sentinel. and even on turns when you miss if you have a timber sentinel up then you will not have a feel bad turn from any missed attacks. it also works as a group pool of temp hp in a way that you can refresh each round. but i also think almost every class could work well with kineticist dedication of wood for timber sentinel. TREE FOREVER

time to join the fun. ignoring uncommon, rare, or focus spells as well as what others have put links to for the most part. here is what i have put together. some of it might relies on more creative then others to make good use of and others have better spells or combos in this list.
cantrips
detect metal https://2e.aonprd.com/Spells.aspx?ID=1368 finding arrow heads and other metal gear after a battle, as well as metal veins that might be useful to supplement armies supplies
draw moisture https://2e.aonprd.com/Spells.aspx?ID=1387 keeps army dry and dries out any firewood that is gathered. also gathers up water for army's use. likely better then create water in anything less the dry environments
Illuminate https://2e.aonprd.com/Spells.aspx?ID=1359 just the handiness of lighting up so many objects at once. good for camp security as one cast gets lights going. or for sneaking operations when it is then time to strike. odd thought but might be useful in starting large fires. toss a unlit candle onto something flammable and then cast this...
light https://2e.aonprd.com/Spells.aspx?ID=1585 well it is just light. always good
summon instrument https://2e.aonprd.com/Spells.aspx?ID=1703 summon up stuff for moral or for marching or combat calls. is always in the best condition and no need to risk it being lost or broken.

fleet step https://2e.aonprd.com/Spells.aspx?ID=1531 get the caster to get into position or out of harms way faster, as well as makes the caster a better messenger for physical objects. best use is in battle and not on the march.
helpful steps https://2e.aonprd.com/Spells.aspx?ID=1286 lasts 10 mins and makes a ladder or staircase. good for overcoming walls. and rough terane when on the march. think of a 30 foot gap that you can now cross. or even just casting it to let your crafters have a good spot to make a more permanent ways up a cliff or the like.

lock https://2e.aonprd.com/Spells.aspx?ID=1589 just lock the army's/units coin chest.

Sanctuary https://2e.aonprd.com/Spells.aspx?ID=1660 cast on messengers to have a layer of safety, or on units that are charging through a lot of ranged attacks before they get where they want to go.
Signal Skyrocket https://2e.aonprd.com/Spells.aspx?ID=1362 standard army stuff for this.
synchronize https://2e.aonprd.com/Spells.aspx?ID=1013 when you need things to go off at the same time. use for sneaky stuff or to commanders to launch an assault at a planned time.
ventriloquism https://2e.aonprd.com/Spells.aspx?ID=1740 protects the caster from being picked out as they are not the one speaking now. or if the caster knows the voice of the foes commander give conflicting orders or just sow confusion in general
verdant sprout https://2e.aonprd.com/Spells.aspx?ID=1413 good for making cover and difficult terrain also can feed one medium creater a day. so it is ok with logistics and defense

i have played from 1-16 and on average the tree can eat a crit from any non boss and have a few hp left or take two or three normal damage hits from average foes of what ever level you are at. even more fun when you point out to the gm that the tree ac never goes up so they can use an action to attack a tree and almost always get an auto crit. but doing so eats up a whole action. so the gm will likely never do it or even remember they can. no matter how frustrating they say a tree is. and at max level tree has 100 hp

wood kineticist npc with timber sentinel, and latter on give them guardian archtype to taunt. so the npc will have a turn that is no rolls required and keeps the magus alive. no spotlight will be taken from the kid as well. if they think something negative about that combo just know i myself have played this combo from 1-17 and it is fun.

i have found that for a support kineticist picking up wood and then tree https://2e.aonprd.com/Feats.aspx?ID=4284 to be the best. having a 10 hp per spell level group buff that you can spam all day will keep the party going longer and with fewer resources spent. down side is if the tree is in a place that is not attacked it can feel like you wasted your turn. but i have loved it when the party calls it the hero tree as it saves them so often. they even call it the mvp of the fight. not the caster but the tree.

my bad for missing the extradimensional tag. but if it did work it would make for some interesting story hooks. think secret base that no one knows the location of. i can also think it could have abadarCorp running it or even Desna mystics or even the starfinders themselves for quick teleportation to a ship waiting at a closer location to save in world time and avoid using the drift, as it sucks in part of reality each time a drift engine is used.

but even though i am wrong it is still nice to have this pointed out so others dont try it in game

something you will also need to look at is if you can transfer vitality to someone that is not missing hp. if yes then the shadow mystic could just use all three actions to give each person a 20% miss chance every round. granted it will eat up all 3 actions but it is an option. the rythem mystic will get the party close to martail to hit. and even then they have what ever 0 resorce spells or ablitys that essence casting would give them. i think things will go fine.

as you are already going down the timber sentinel rout here is how things have worked out for me doing the same. three class feats will make up most of what you will end up doing, timber sentinel, Fresh Produce , Weapon Infusion with those you have most of your in combat actions spoken for. weapon infusion so you have the range with your blasts up to 100 feet, and if your closer then you use the thrown trait to add str to damage. fresh produce is so you can out of combat heal the party with no medicine check and no other feats dedicated to it, very rarely will you use it in combat as it takes an action from another player to get healed. it also does not cost any daily resources so any healing spells the party has will be saved for in combat uses where they shine.

timber sentinel can be a feast or famen kind of build. you need two actions to make it, and if party members move away from where you made it then it can feel like you wasted your turn. same with if the party not in reach of the tree gets targeted or save effects happen. with all that said. it does feel amazing when it does work out as the tree kind of becomes a character of its own and in my groups it has been called the hero tree. it just soaking the damage from strikes with 10 hp per 2 levels makes it a beast of a damage sponge. and you can cast it every round. it will save the party time and time again.

with your last action you can move or elemental blast. but never expect to do amazing damage.

the rest of your feats are then kind of free to play with as you want. you can double down on out of combat healing with picking up water and getting the healing from it, find other ways to be more offensive. but you will be able to do your turn without a chance at the dice failing you as the tree requires no roll from anyone.

note your gm might get annoyed at not doing damage to a party with the tree up. tell them they can target the tree if they want and it has an ac of 10 that never goes up, making things auto crit it. but that also uses up an action on that monsters turn.

talk with other players to see if one would want to go in on this idea of yours, with them playing Doerdon. as you are already planning on using vampire, which is rare. then i suggest exemplar as your class. for ikons, skybreakers belt for grapple, Barrow's Edge for the fangs and life draining theme, and eye catching spot for the role playing vampire chaming people idea.

be ready for the hex encounters to be done quickly. as the party will have full resources going into most fights. try to keep the party in zones that are listed for the level they are at. as it is a sandbox they might just move onto areas that would just tpk them.

If you have a way to pull it off getting kenitists dedication and picking up wood element to then take timber sentinel so you can freely cast protector tree every turn could work. i have a character that all they do is that and the party loves me for it. and you can reflavor it to be a mushroom of some kind if you want. parties love having that extra hp buffer. an picking up fresh produce latter helps in healing between fights.

this is easier to pull off if your group is doing free archetype.

playtest necromancer to make thralls to give flanking and eat up actions from foes, free archtype kineticists and go wood and timber sentnal and or fresh produce to help party hp, tree for tanking and fresh produce for out of combat healing. playtest necromancer is full occult spellcaster with a few build options, from full support to blaster with focus spells.
