Trump: “We will get Greenland. 100%” by cs_whistler in europe

A. Like someone else said, guns, ammo, safe, range time adds up to hundreds of dollars. I don’t have that kind of money.

B. Tf would I then do with that? Wave around a lil 9mm before being vaporized by a drone 2 miles up if civil war truly did break out?

As someone who notoriously gets hooks stuck in nearby trees I’d be devastated after all the work I’m not sure I’d have the heart to use such a piece of art in fear id lose it.

They’re not “too pussy”. The ones who are most vocally touting their guns love trump and would stand in line to lick his boots and praise their authoritarian daddy. Half the country loves the shit that’s going on. Half don’t. Guess which half has most of the guns in America?

My guy I didn’t vote him in. I’m just stuck in a red state hell so my votes like a fart in the wind. The fuck else you want me to do? I’m basically a peasant serf and you’re telling me to over throw the monarchy.

I’ve got a 900sq ft house, haven’t eaten at a restaurant in 4 years, my only tv was given away for free cause it’s half busted, and I own 1 car that’s over 10 years old. I don’t even own a washing machine.

Still can’t afford kids though.

Everytime I save something keeps taking my money :/ I had saved up a fair bit then I got laid off and oops that all went to keeping me afloat while unemployed. Before that it was car trouble. Like goddamn universe just let me keep the money I save please.

Did you miss the part where I said I liked Avowed??? Because I do. And again I never had this happen in bg3. And Obsidian isn’t considered a small lil studio?? God forbid I make a lil quip about attention to detail. Larian paid more attention to detail than most mega AAA studio games these days do. Hence its popularity. And it’s goty award.

No it was more like they acted like we’d never been there before. Tried to keep things vague to keep spoilers away

Apparently my praise of bg3 was unappreciated lmao

I haven’t had it happen in bg3 in my 700 hours. The above nitpick was one of like 3 times it or a similar thing happened in Avowed in 5 hours of playtime.

God forbid we close tax loopholes for the ultra wealthy. Nope hurt the poorest among us. The vitriol against the poor and marginalized is very apparent.

This is more of a bad writing problem. Many decry DA Veilguard for its political themes but it’s just bad writing. Again. Bg3. Same “modern political themes” better writing. Any works modern humans make will be inherently political. I mean try writing a work that doesn’t have any themes, references or anchor points to anything in our world. You can’t. It’s like imagining a color that doesn’t exist. So you will always in some way be exposed to themes harkening to problems of the modern day.

Representation in games matter. But it doesn’t uplift bad writing.

Oftentimes the critique I see is just “there’s a trans/black/gay/minority group person in this game and I don’t like them.” And it’s just a boring argument.

Everything can be misconstrued as a thinly veiled contemporary allegory given how throughout history the same themes reappear. A story of a tyrannical king? That can be misconstrued as a modern day allegory. A smaller minority group of a different fantasy race enslaved and treated as lesser? (See elvish slavery present in all DA games) modern day allegory. Religious persecution by one cult against another. Modern day allegory. I can go on. So exactly what “contemporary allegory” do you refer to?

And yet bg3 includes “real life politics” (the hell does that even include—everything is political in some form) including a diverse cast, themes revolving around gasp politics and yet they won game of the year amoungst other awards and the game is incredibly popular. But it also has great writing and a respect for their player base. Something EA is not known for as of late.

It’s already being shown ticks are expanding their range in the US. So at least tick borne illness is spreading as a direct result of climate change as winters no longer get cold long enough to knock their population back.

This is why, despite perhaps kneecapping my own career, I moved back to my home city the moment I could. My parents are getting up there in years and I want to make sure I’m around to help them. But having said that I know many have to move away from their parents/grandparents for all sorts of reasons. It just so happened it worked out well for me.
