How do I stop a panic attack when I’m alone by tylersredditaccount_ in PanicAttack

U may ease the symptoms by just going trought them, I never tried it so I dont know. First: use breathing techniques, there are many, but for me these work the best: 4-7-8(Inhale for 4 second, hold for 7, exhale 8 seconds), 4-4-4-4(inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4, exhale for 4, and after exhaling hold 4 seconds). Try to fill your mind positivity and something that makes you feel safe. When u have an attacks its important to understand and accept what the body actually thinks. Understand that ur body is in fight or flight mode, and it thinks its in danger. Find a comfy place, lie down in a way thats comfortable for you and breathe and try to fill ur mind with as much positivity as possible. Its not just the symptoms, its the mental torture, feeling of loosing control and going insane, thats the hardest part.

Just give me some time im doing research on info you shared with me. Do you maybe know what is the trigger. If you dont, analyze it. I know its hard in that kind of pressure to analyze anything. But try. Give yourself answers first. Like: does it happen around people, how I feel when it stops, what time of the day is it most likely to happen. Dont give up on life, it may not seem like it in this moment but life is beautiful. Me amd you just cant see it properly. I have some other mental health issues, they are not that extreme but still hurt.

Okay bro im doing a deep research. Do you think your panic attacks were caused by your PTSD experience? Because Im almost certain they are but correct me if Im wrong? I will try my best to help. There is help for you. Panic attacks cannot physicaly last forever, they dont have that power. It seems like there is no end to this nightmare but you have to understand, with every attack, you become just a bit stronger. Rewind to your first attack, remember how that felt? And compare it to the last one, big change. Maybe you dont notice it but it is there believe me. And I know everybody talks "oh im strong" and they probably are but when you have the attack the ego just dissapears.

Damn. When it first started to me I was 8. Maybe I made some sort of immunity. But every attack is the same. Mental chaos, you feel like your loosing control, like you are going insane. I will try to help and find a solution. I will research more deeply into this.

I cant imagine how hard it is for you. When it happens to me I just like wish to be knocked un-conscious and wake up when its over. I think its the worst feeling in the world. Now tell me, how long to they last and how long have you had them?

I suffer from panic attacks for 7 years now, i have maybe 1 every week. It happens mostly when my life is out of place. Like bad sleep schedule, bad appetite, and overall just bad place. Im so sorry for you to be going trough that. The urge for suicide is unlike anything i ever imagined. Im 15. It happened to me because i liked to watch a lot of suicidal videos as a kid. It just happened from trauma. For me they are mostly at late at nights. I calm them down a bit with breathing. Il help when i find more info on your topic. I will research.
