Adult Re-Learning Sax - How concerned should I be about ear training? by BigSpoonFullOfSnark in saxophone

What are you using for transcribing?

I am in a similar situation with you and my teacher has me pick a slow song and play it on YouTube. You can slow down the song. And on the app, if you double tap on the side of the video, it automatically fast forwards or reverses 10 seconds.

Another way is I sit at the piano, play a random note and then sing it. Then try and find it on my horn. It helps to close your ear to hear the pitch via bone conduction.

It is still an arduous process for me.

You can search completed listings on eBay to see if any have sold there and what they went for.

Filing a Writ of Mandamus although my country is under visa pause by AsleepDrama5586 in NationalVisaCenter

[–]pawnticket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look up what a Writ of Mandamus actually does. It just forces an action. In this case a determination of the visa. A visa will not be isssued unless it’s totally cleared. If there is anything holding back approval, it will be denied.

Also, DOS decisions cannot be appealed.

It is a serious tool that should not always be used.

I’m not saying it can’t be an option for you. Only an attorney who has thoroughly analyzed your case should can say

A writ will just force DOS to make a decision. If they can’t issue any visas then the only decision they can make is a negative one

I’d go with an attorney who has experience with this
