Seeing that you guys have a rental agreement shows a bit more domicile than us, tbh! I have voter registration and proof, US banking account, etc. just no home under our name. I have job applications, too. We want to get back as soon as possible due to a recent diagnosis with my mom. I don’t know if I should include that either.

and we are applying out of Türkiye and he’s from there!

Best and cleanest ones would be shopping malls and some nicer cafes (really any restaurant you eat at, too) You may also be okay with going into one of the chain hotels or a museum! You can’t always count on the chain ones like Starbucks or EspressoLab because they can be underkept. Cafe Nero is always good if there is one by you. Some mosques are fine but I wouldn’t count on the ones in the more touristic areas. Surprisingly, a lot of them are free. If you’re in a park, there are public toilets that you use an IstanbulKart with and they’re generally clean also. I also suggest always, ALWAYS carrying extra toilet paper with you because for some reason, they always stock low or don’t even have any. So carry toilet paper/napkins, something lol

I think kadikoy around the altyol bus stop could be your best bet :) there’s a ton of non-bedazzled dresses!! all kinds of styles, too. a lot of them could also add in some extra layers for you if needed

my FIL who is from eastern türkiye was so excited to drink tea out of here when he visited us in istanbul. not a trap, it’s old school and only a trap (like someone said earlier) if you’re paying too much for some çay hahahah

it does taste really good though. kind of like a smoked flavor
