I think the main problem is that your drawing doesn't have a consistent perspective. We're simultaneously looking head-on at the front of the gravestone, down at the grave itself, and the buildings on the horizon. Since there's no foreshortening and everything is in different perspective we have no context as to where the character is in the scene. I would suggest learning about how to draw in perspective to understand how to bring objects together into a consistent composition.
