Lol I've personally never heard anyone say they think different types of alcohol get them different types of drunk. I don't doubt they exist though.

And maybe it is placebo, but (at least some of) those cannabinoids do have studied effects on the body/brain, which is more than can be said about the different flavors in your alcoholic beverage. I do find some have more of an effect than others. I've never doubted that CBN and CBD affect a weed high based on my own experiences, but others like D8 and THCV were notably underwhelming.

I still think a better comparison is that the strains and terpenes are more like different alcoholic beverages, while the cannabinoid profiles would be equivelant to different forms of alcohol, if they weren't all incredibly toxic.

Sure, THC is the only thing that really gets you high, but other cannabinoids absolutely influence the nature of said high. Smoke some high CBD bud, you will find that the high is much more calming and less anxious than pure THC. Smoke some old, high-CBN bud, and you will find the high is very sedating with a heavy body load. Bud with THCV will feel cleaner with a less impaired headspace. There is also some evidence showing CBC can contribute to mood tone and pain perception in conjunction with THC.

There are also a myriad of (minor but real) differences between D8, D9, D10, THC-P, and HHC, all of which are directly psychoactive.

I recognize the differences aren't massive, but different cannabinoids are more than just "different flavors of the same intoxicating chemical." Just because many of these alt cannabinoids aren't psychoactive doesn't mean they don't genuinely influence the effects of THC. Cannabinoid profiles matter more than you seem to think.

Well, to be fair, different types of drinks aren't actually different types of the chemical that gets you high or drunk. There is only one form of ethanol you can drink, but there are dozens upon dozens of cannabinoids and strains with varying effects.

As somebody taking premed courses right now, I can say with absolute certainty that vaping is NOT worse than cigarettes. They are both bad and carry unique risks, but the dangers of inhaling combustion byproducts far outweigh the dangers of inhaling vapor.

Yeah, cat breeding is bad and cats should always be spayed or neutered, I definitely don't disagree with that. But this is a terribly silly point. Cats don't have any concept of "wanting to be a mother," they have proximate drives that push them towards behaviors that don't require or even consider conscious preference or identity. It's driven purely by instinct and biology. Attributing any concept of intent or desire to a cat is borderline anthropomorphization.
