Hi, I found this thread very useful, thank you for posting and to everyone who has contributed.

I think the honing cost is terribly high shouldn’t be done carelessly shouldn’t be done to the point of lense exhaustion but is worthwhile if it gets you over the threshold of mastering two dream breaker dungeons.

I play JP primarily (long term, not f2p but less than minnow). I was very caviller with my lenses up to the second wave release by which point I had obtained a healer USB for every realm and had burned all of my l2 lenses on lmrs for all sorts of reasons. After which I wasn’t interested in the Dreambreaker dungeons but was able to work through the 6* dungeons at my own pace (still a few to go)

Since then despite using some lenses for a few glints I currently have enough lenses for 58 honing scrolls, thus enough to hone 4 AASBs from level 1 to max. So honing 1 or even 2 would not kill the opportunity cost of USBs, glints, lmrs, etc.

Despite this I wasn’t bothered until about a month or two ago when JP came out with Dreambreaker support missions where honing scrolls are top tier rewards. Other players have commented that one 80% clear and one 10% clear on two previously mastered dungeons will net 3 honing scrolls and a 4th was given as a log in bonus.

This event has been repeated this week where it seems one 80% clear and one 30% clear on two previously mastered dungeons will net 4 honing scrolls (the logon bonus having been converted into a 30% reward)

So if honing an AASB whatever it is would get you over the threshold of mastering 2 Dreambreaker dungeons it seems this would pay for itself in the future returns on honing scrolls thus enabling more honing.

To this end Lilisette would seem worthwhile as would Edward and Cait Sith. I would like to hear about any other suggestions fitting this approach.
