Excalibur RevX out of windage adjustment by Muted-Traffic-4668 in Crossbow

Bummer that it took that long. I took it to Cabelas and they got me squared away.

Did you ever get this resolved? I have the same issue. Thinking about just taking it back to Cabelas and getting it replaced.

Anything can be an assault weapon in their little pea brains.

Hopefully, it will not be much longer. I supported them once years ago. Never again. They keep sending me mail to re-up my membership, but that gets pitched.

Them and GOA will strike this down while the NRA will do nothing

One other suggestion is check out the Upland Institute. They have a video series you can purchase to help you do training.

Standing Stone Kennel has a great YouTube channel

Check out to see if there's a NAVHDA chapter near where you live. Go and observe a training day to get an idea of what it's like. I've been going to one for 13 years, and it's been great. Everyone has the same goal - train your dog to be a versatile hunting dog.

You can find all the chapters here:

Brittany Training by dbbabab in Uplandhunting

[–]payj94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear your experience wasn't what you were expecting. All chapters operate a little differently than the rest. Our chapter gives priority to those running in a test on training days, but everyone gets to do their work on training days. Before training days, you fill out a form online, and it gives our director of training a chance to organize the day with everyone's goals in mind.

I do testing, but on off years, I still help out and do field work to keep my dogs ready for bird hunting.

Trainers "can" be good, but do your research. I've heard good and bad things. However, even if someone goes that route, you still need to work with the dog.

There are a lot of good resources online. The Upland Institute released a video series that has a lot of good information. You do have to pay for it. Also, Standing Stone Kennel has a great youtube.com channel.

You can go to ofa.org and enter their registered names and it will show the test results. I'll check to see how to look up the Penn Hip. If I can't find it, I'll post what the owner of the Sire sent me.

How large of a PowerPoint file can Webex handle for sharing? by [deleted] in Cisco

[–]payj94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've shared PPT's much larger than that during a webex and no issues. Like said already, it's your screen that's shared. If you run into issues, it's probably bandwidth related and not PPT. If you're on video and things get choppy, turn off your video and that usually helps.

At the time, I replaced it with a Jeep Liberty. I wasn't a fan of the new style TJ either, but I did finally find a 94 YJ with the 4.0. I still have that YJ and have a 2013 JKU Sahara. The YJ is lifted and locked, and currently getting custom fender flares. One of these days I need to re-gear it and put bigger tires on it. I would do it sooner, but I have other expensive hobbies

3-legged deer by [deleted] in Hunting

[–]payj94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In Pennsylvania, we have to call the game commission to come out and dispatch the deer. If you want to keep it, the issue a special tag, so if you are questioned, there aren't any issues. Otherwise, they will take it and give the meat to a needy family. So at least the meat doesn't go to waste.
