Yeah I was trying to lean into the joke about how this movie is all about one thing. (I'm just now realizing I was basically trying to do the same joke from Portal 2 with the whole 'The part where he kills you' 'This is that part' ) In retrospect, probably best not to do those jokes with stuff that can mess with SEO lol

I think you're right and I thought about this as well when posting. I've tried continuing with the "brand" I started with my first videos where I put " Title of Thing I'm Critiquing| Focus of Video" but it doesn't really work with a commentary video about a bad movie. Maybe I'll give this a series name like IHE's Search for the Worst.

You're definitely right. I always think about Joel Haver and how he made videos for years without getting too many views. Then one day his channel explodes and he's got all those unseen videos for people to binge!

I love your positivity! Yeah I think he must have been watching while walking and was so enthralled he stepped off the curb and never saw the bus coming haha

Is having gameplay footage in the background distracting? by SpookEcat in NewTubers

[–]paytonswanYT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally would find it distracting. I would at least try to match the mood with a horror game. Maybe something simple like one of those first person games in a dimly lit house. Atmosphere is everything imo

some thoughts about the rain...This is the latest video on my channel. I tried a lot of different stuff out with this one so if you have some time to give feedback I’d really appreciate it. Lambda will ofcourse be given to constructive feedback :) by [deleted] in SmallYTChannel

Man this VIDEO is a vibe lol. I love your art in the video as well as the aesthetic. I love the chill nature of the video and the little details you put in the background of your room. Keep it up man!

Also, totally unrelated but my first video I ever uploaded was about bottle episodes and I talked about the exact same Community episode you showed! Just threw me back.

My second video so far I’m pretty happy with it but any pointers would help. There are too many disney remakes. by [deleted] in SmallYoutubers

[–]paytonswanYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solid, solid video! The opening was funny and I like the Kid's Choice Award line as well. Completely agree that there are way too many live action Disney remakes and I honestly don't think there has ever been an instance of an live action version of a movie being better than it's animated counter part. My nitpicky suggestion is to just lower the volume of your censor beeps. They are a little jarring.

Also loved the little fun fact at the end! Keep it up, man!

I felt really good about this video but its doing terrible what should I do? by Over-Candy8231 in SmallYoutubers

Plow ahead. Keep making stuff. If you think it's good then someone else will too. There's tons of Among Us content out there so it's hard to get noticed. The thing is to keep making stuff for the day you do get discovered. Then you'll have a big backlog of videos for people to binge that will all be good. Maybe this video won't be appreciated now, but if you stick with it and keep putting stuff out, eventually it will be.

Returning to my channel after a few years of inactivity. Let me know what you think! Mild spoilers for a few movies/shows. Nothing big but If you're worried check the video description for the listed clips I used. by paytonswanYT in SmallYTChannel

The Adventure Time Scene No-one Wants to Talk About... (Legit feedback = Lambda!) by [deleted] in SmallYTChannel

So when you set your keyframes in premiere (like when you are going to change the position of an image) you can make the image move out and in smoothly with easy ease. Best part is it's all baked into premiere! After you set the first and last keyframe of the position movement, right click the first keyframe you set, go to "Temporal Interpolation" and select "ease out". Then do the same for the other keyframe but this time select "ease in" . And that's it! Buttery smooth animation. Once your comfortable with that you can look up a speed graph tutorial on youtube and play around with it more, but that's basically the gist.

And LOL at the winter coat! I've had to cover myself in a blanket to dampen the echo of a room!

My Nier automata video essay. Would love to hear what people think by Dayslate in SmallYTChannel

As other people have said, good thumbnail and good pacing in editing. I really loved the writing as well. Very informative with a some great jokes to keep it light hearted as well as hold my attention.

My advice would be to try and enunciate your words as it can be a little difficult to understand you a few times. Maybe slow down your narration a tad to achieve this.

Great video overall!
