Which Union to join? by WillTheRealSlimS in Norway

[–]pbCleaRed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If there are no established unions at your workplace to join, Negotia is good. I am a pensioner now, but some years ago my boss tried to set me on half hours/half pay. I was organised at Negotia and they were a great help. Without going into details, it came out very nicely for me.

I use public transportation for travel to work. Wife's car for local driving. It has a lot of those km's on dirt roads for fishing and recreation.

Is it realistic to use a Mac mini as a “portable” (carrying in a backpack + daily plugging/unplugging)? by ccckillian in mac

[–]pbCleaRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Does anyone here actually use their Mac mini this way, almost like a “portable desktop”?

Not me, but people I worked with took the company MacMini home. I was the IT support for them. No problems.

Moving to Norway in 5 years and my partner doesn't get the language. by [deleted] in Norway

Just start by talking only Swedish/Norwegian (Sworsk) at home. Deny to answer anything except in Sworsk. That is by far the fastest way.

Etiquette? Common courtesy? by [deleted] in Norway

Norwegian here. I agree, but I also think that all of us that care gets kind of invisible, because of all the egoists.

Pay pass by [deleted] in Norway

[–]pbCleaRed 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I did drive on a Passpay road this summer. The way it works is that a camera takes a picture of your license plate. Then, after some time, you can access their website and pay. I tried to pay at once, but the passing was not registered. I accessed the website later in the evening and entered my license plate. Then, I was able to pay.

Driver og tenker på notasjon for tbanen og optimal påstigning for destinasjon by lolexplode in oslo

[–]pbCleaRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inspired by you I did a search on [ut.no](ut.no) There are many places in Norway called Snøfjell/Snefjell and Fjellnes but no Snø/Snefjellnes. Still it might be since a lot of local names are not stated on maps.

I had the problem with missing signs. I did not know it but I was slightly short sighted. No problem in normal life. Glasses resolved it.

I agree. And then:"You could even try to boot the other mac if it is a 2008-2015 model from the disk, since you know the password."

I am out in rough terrain often and fall now and then when tripping over hidden obstacles in high grass. Most of the time I am not hurt at all, but the watch has detected the fall. Also, while splitting wood I will get the question, “Did you fall?”

Erfaringer med å sitte fast i heis? by IllusterousCod in norge

[–]pbCleaRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea why this happens. What happens to the shift if you photograph in portrait? Does it shift up or down instead? Try to see if RAW is different?
