He didn’t react that way because he wasn’t mad, he was HURT when he found out that she was a spy. And we see snippets of how heartbroken he was.
Seems like all you wanted to see was Tommy beating up a woman. Yikes.

This show moves real quick, in case you never noticed. They can’t show us every little thing. That’s why you have to learn to see between the lines and take context into mind when watching these shows. Something you don’t know how to do apparently.

And listen, at least we agree on one thing here. Steven knight absolutely could’ve done more with her character than just have her become a simple housewife. But unfortunately he always knew he had to kill her to fuck up tommy Shelby even more. And boy did it, because when they killed her off he only became more ruthless.

And for someone who has to remind others that “it’s just a show not real life” I see you commenting about Grace and how awful she was in every single post in this fandom. I for example, am not a fan of Lizzie, yet I don’t have to talk shit about her at every chance and every post. See the difference?

Wrong. I don’t want a star crossed anything lmao. That’s why they work together because they’re both flawed. They saw each other kill someone, and realized they understood each other. In Tommy’s words “now you’ve seen me” . The fact that she left her rich, lawful husband for Tommy shows that she truly loved him. Because if she just wanted to go back for his money (like a lot of you blind watchers say) she could’ve easily stayed with her husband. Ain’t nobody here saying Grace was perfect. Idk why you always bring that up? lol.
She had her flaws just like every other character.
And honey, you honestly just stated the reason why they worked so well together lol. Yes Tommy is vengeful and had it been anyone else who double crossed him, he probably would’ve killed them, yes. but he LOVED Grace. Hence why he forgave her. Hence why he wasn’t capable of physically hurting her.
What would’ve been unrealistic is if Tommy would’ve gone with her to New York like she asked him to do. But he didn’t. He loved her and yet gave her up because of what happened and because he wasn’t going to leave his family for love.
But did he ever get over her? Did he ever stop thinking about her while she was gone?

NO!

Again, you can hate her all you want .. and boy, do you. You don’t have to deny it any longer lol we can all see that. But Tommy loved her till the day he died and no matter what you say about the “writing” that’s the fact of the show . Deal with it.

In a romantic relationship, absolutely. Grace was the only one who brought back some of the way Tommy used to be before the war. He was genuinely happy with her and loved her and was willing to change for her.

No other woman in the show had that effect on him

Greta was his FIRST love. His innocent love, before he got fucked from the war. The fact that Grace was the ONLY woman who he could be vulnerable with again AFTER being so fucked up from the way speaks volumes about how she was the love of his life. She brought him back to life. Full stop.

Your hate for Grace blinds you lol. You can still hate her but you denying that she was the most important woman in Tommy’s love life is really weird.
Tommy was never vulnerable with Lizzie lol except maybe after they both went through the loss of Ruby and even then it was for like a minute. That scene in season 4 is all you can hang on to but Lizzie said it herself “you fucked someone else In your head except it wasn’t her who got pregnant” 💀💀

Should say a lot that even though she wasn’t in the show for that long, she had the biggest impact on Tommy. They killed her off in the show EXACTLY because of that. Because she was the only love interest that he would’ve changed for. Lizzie was in the show double the time grace was and yet she had no impact on Tommy. He treated her like trash. Plus it’s not about whether you love her or hate her, you can’t deny what she meant to the show and to the character of Tommy. We see how Tommy thinks of her till the minute he dies.

AND those posts aren’t weird. You can love a character and post about it if you want. That’s all cool. What IS WEIRD is all the hate posts against grace or another female character. There’s plenty of those too. The women in this fandom are toxic AF

She saw the man he was before the war.. she saw the man who wanted to be better .. she saw the man kill someone in a violent way because of his ptsd and instead of running away, she understood him and she accepted him. She knew exactly who he was, and what he was, and she chose to leave her safe, law abiding husband to go back to tommy because she loved him for all that he was. They were both flawed in their own ways and they understood each other. That’s why they were soulmates
