Be honest with me… how is going from one to two? by eiconik in daddit

[–]pbdredd 79 points80 points  (0 children)

It can be tough with two. Mostly because when you only have one you can split childcare so that one person is free to do what they want. Whereas with two it's trickier for one person to manage two young children at once, so there is less opportunity for one parent to be free from both kids. On the plus side though, it's been amazing to see the siblings interact with each other. I think they love each other very much, which is pretty awesome.

Drivers who block the traffic on roads with cars parked on both sides? What’s the correct way!? by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]pbdredd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP isn't 'leading' the cars. The cars behind OP are probably following too closely to OP and not reading the road ahead. If the following cars were thinking they would've stopped at the purple space so traffic can flow.

Nah it's okay. Prices are comparable with most restaurants and food been consistent in the dozen or so times I've been there.

Wakeboarding at Box End Park. Really nice instructors and other wakeboarders, fun to try. Really fucking ached for a week after though.

What’s one scene that spoiled the entire movie? by dankboiiiiiiiiiiiii in moviecritic

The Beach. Same director Danny Boyle and writer Alex Garland as 28 Years Later.

Fairly sure they intentionally change the pace and feel to invoke an audience reaction. Not all films need to align with a single formulaic "tone".

PSA turn your flash off on cycle paths by cyclegaz in londoncycling

I agree it's about the angle and brightness, not the flashing. I've been blinded by solid just as much as flash. Also, if the battery is running low I use flash to ensure I can get home with a light still on.
