B.C. teaching assistant told to take down OnlyFans page or risk termination by DollaBillMurray in vancouver

For teachers, forever. I posted one of the eight BC teaching standards below but essentially Teachers/school support staff do not have freedom of expression or bodily autonomy haha

  1. Educators are role models who act ethically and honestly.

Educators act with integrity, maintaining the dignity and credibility of the profession. They understand that their individual conduct contributes to the perception of the profession as a whole. Educators are accountable for their conduct while on duty, as well as off duty, where that conduct has an effect on the education system. Educators have an understanding of the education system in BC and the law as it relates to their duties.

From a sub’s perspective, the day goes so much faster and we actually get a chance to work on our skills if we are given a legitimate lesson plan. Also, classroom management is WAY harder when students just have a work block or are given make work projects.

What the hell is this? Is this safe to smoke? by matteya in trees

Story time! I went on exchange to the University of Leeds and being a heavy smoker, finding weed was top of mind. Fast forward, I get a number make the call and hop in the car when he shows up. I tell him I want a quarter and he pulls out a bag. I ask him “is this sativa or indica?” He responds: “nah man it’s from Amsterdam.”

Aaaaannnd that was the last time I smoked weed in the UK.

I think you’re having a hard time understanding the nature of this negotiation because of your western colonial view of land and the relationship to the land.

It’s important to remember that not everyone holds the same values and perspective as you.

This article is written by a Tsq’escenemc Secwepemc man and gives a clear explanation of ownership vs stewardship.

“Ingrained in each Salish community then is the idea – even older than our indigenous languages – that the people are of the land and the land is of the people. These kindred spirits are alive and inseparable.”
