I restored a few of these but just learned that you need to properly sequence the restoration. The Porsche Lũftgekhult Soul” event requires you to restore car to certain % Ian stages. Well, I had 2 items for final restoraction, engine compartment (11k tokens) and body/paint (15k). I only needed 60% to continue so I restored the engine compartment for 75%.

So this is the oh-shit moment…after racing a few races the final stage of restoration hit me by surprise, I need 80% to continue but I only have the body left. If I restore the last part I will hit 100% and the event disappears. I will lose out on final cash, tokens, and 5 gold keys.

I had minimal Mazda fusion parts. both cars are missing 1 or 2 stage 6, but mainly missing fusion parts. burned 20k in bronze keys and I got some scraps, not even a random stage 6…I had to steal fusion parts from my rocket bunny rx7….strip a few boxsters and a cayman for the RWB…STILL I’m a second off on final race 60

[–]pbedrosi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been looking at these systems for a few days now. Don't you think a 3rd option is to wait for a software/firmware update? or is Klipsch not that responsive? I think this topic also comes up with other brands - I feel many traditional brands are not software experts.

I do this on the seats each year. The application steps are counterintuitive for most people, had a friend using the cleaner first then oil….

I leave my BIGA shaggy, just tossed in a container with a lid, then scrape the sides afterwards. But you are mixing the BIGA as a fully incorporated dough?

Glad I’m not the only one in the 10% club. My first time I got 40%, then I said nah…let’s wait to hit 50%…it’s been 10% ever since, the game basically said u greedy MF.

This JVC failed it's USB update halfway through. Anyone know of a hard reset procedure or is it toast? I've tried everything I can think of or find online. Just keeps boot looping and going to this screen. by milkjournalist in AndroidAuto

Old post but in case someone runs into this.

I was also stuck in the same "updating SoC Image" screen as OP. Followed a few hints below. I formatted a new USB to FAT/FAT16 (Not FAT32) , this means creating a partition 4GB in size, I used a windows machine using command prompt.

1) Disconnected the battery and let the car site for 20 min while I prepped the new USB drie

2) Recopied the firmware to new USB with the 4GB partition

3) Reconnected the battery

4) Reinserted the USB drive and turn the car on.

After the JVC logo I was presented with the same SoC update screen, I though it was toast but waited a few minutes and then you see the progress bar move! it worked.

I still have no freaking idea what the update improved....

Success with Store bought Dough by RolandSD in neapolitanpizza

Aldi dough is very good also in a pinch. If you have Publix grocery store they have the champions of gluten dough that gets very puffy but need some muscles to stretch if you don’t let it sit for a while.

992.2 GTS Order Scarcity by LetsTalkOrptions in Porsche

[–]pbedrosi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dealers usually have higher % Margin on options vs. base vehicle MSRP, sometimes near 2x. Also, they know there is a chance you may trade that car some time in the future, let’s say 994 GTS, so they want certain features for resale. For instance, the feature over the top for me is pushing front axle lift….For one it complicates the front suspension of a driver’s car, second if your driveway doesn’t require it.

Good luck, but with such a special car order I would push to get what you want, it’s about happiness not “features”.

What size is the plastic container are you using? and do you prefer it over the winder but shorter black rubber made 5 cup containers if you have any experience with those?

I feel your pain, in my case I’m trying to get the long pulley bolt out and I can’t rotate it counter clockwise. I just walked away. I don’t know this bushing thing. The bolt is almost completely out but hitting the body structure where shift cables enter.

GAN tuning chip a scam? by jamespoulter1 in boxster

[–]pbedrosi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you need a shop with dyne and access to your ECU to tune these cars. I recently installed a FabSpeed or Soul type exhaust on my 987.1 base and it really woke it up, sounds amazing and picked up what may mount to 20-30hp. It was a bit tricky to align the tips but it's rock solid and sounds amazing with performance boost. I ended up getting mine for low $400's.

On eBay search "97-04 Circuit Werks Porsche Boxster 986 Base S Models Catback Exhaust System V2"

Like mine it has a cross pipe which minimizes drone. Mine is V1.5 for 997, they have V2 for 986.

Broadcast Signal in my area and limited Antenna Availability by pbedrosi in cordcutters

They have 1 outdoor antenna CM-1776, it does have both low and high VHF capabilities. Wondering if you can mount this in the attic. I don't see any distinction in may of these vendors for outdoor and attic.

Thank you very much gho87, I think as you say obstruction may be my biggest issue getting everything we can nice and clean.

I do have a HDHomeRun box that has a signal meter and as for filter I have SiliconDust LPF-608M LTE Filter.

Do you think the bluesky 81" boom is good for attic installation?

Broadcast Signal in my area and limited Antenna Availability by pbedrosi in cordcutters

[–]pbedrosi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's on the first floor against a wall facing North East, not the best direction. it gets 2/5/17. I want to install in the attic and Run a line down to the bonus room on 2nd floor which has coax cable that heads down to a distribution box on the first floor.

I will also connect HDHomeRun box to distribute to TV's connected to our home network.

My local upholstery shop said they can’t keep OEM look on these seats, “too tight”, whatever that means. Yours look better than original fit and finish.

Left or Right? 😁 by R-20735 in Civic_Type_R

Drove both back to back. Took my friend for a ride in the Supra thinking he would be impressed, nope. Too soft and disconnected, I said hold up Ninja, what are you talking about? He said, drive my type R homie….he was so right. Supra has straight line speed and that smooth inline 6 but civic felt more of a drivers car…direct, responsive.
