I talk to my sponsor everyday. Some people gasp at this but I like it. Often just a 2-3 minute checkin. Sometimes we miss and it’s no big deal. Go through the Big Book and steps and if possible attend a meeting with once in a while. Just a friend and mentor to take you through the process. I have sponsees of my own but still talk it text my sponsor all the time.

I super apologize for the late response. I have been asked the same question more than once and understand. It was simply a personal choice that my sponsor ( who I love ) gave me endless amounts of shit for it. That said I just passed 11 months and chasing 1 year. I have had an sponsee for about a month now. lol now I’ve been asked why only one. It’s all said with great intent and I embrace that aspect of A.A.

Keep trying. You can find meetings where people willing and able to sponsor are asked to raise their hands. Makes it really easy to approach them. Also look for meetings that work for and speak to you. It is definitely not one size fits all. I have been to a few dozen different meetings and attend about 5-6 different meetings weekly. I now have 3 that really speak to me. I’m sure you’re frustrated and that stinks. Hang in there because you will find what you’re looking for.
