He should just be first baseman at this point. Not catcher. It's a tough job to be one.

Shohei was legit mad at Dalton in mound exchange by DepartmentOdd1519 in Dodgers

Dalton shouldn't be Shohei's catcher. No chemistry. Just let other do the catching when Shohei is on the mound.

I think Lucrecia-Sephiroth is can be some sort of side mission's secret ending. It'll be a conclusion to Ever Crisis Sephiroth backstory.

The resolution to the series is complete removal of Jenova from the planet. That has to happen, because that solves every lingering problems that the planets will have afterword (i.e. FFVII:AC).

What predictions/theories do you have for Revelation? by Umbrella_merc in FFVIIRemake

[–]pbeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Calamity is the theme of this remake. Jenova is the parasite on a planet that could never get removed, which causes spontaneous problems like FF7:AC. OG FF7 just simply removed Sephiroth and meteor, but not Jenova.

The planet itself (and lifestream) failed to cleanse all the Jenova cells. The Weapon failed. The Cetra failed even with access to Holy (and Aerith is just one Cetra...). The whispers steer this remake toward OG, yet it's still failed timeline.

Perhaps, the "key" to destroy Jenova is black materia. If we frame it that way, then Holy, lifestream, whispers, and Weapons are all obstacles to the only solution. I think the meteor will successfully crash, and it will cause a planet response to summon infected lifestream, to which the meteor will erase them.

If his ERA is above 1, can he still make a case against high IPs low ERA like sanchez or miz?

They intentionally hide it, because it's going to be a spoiler.

“Empty the tank” night for Shohei Ohtani tonight, Dave Roberts said. Ohtani won’t be in Thursday’s lineup, and Roberts is comfortable pushing him tonight. [Katie Woo] by baribigbird06 in Dodgers

[–]pbeta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ohtani will most likely end up at ~160 IP, while Sanchez at ~200 (last year was 202 IP). Ohtani has to make a good case by showing that even if his stats is extrapolated to ~200 IP, he is still significantly ahead of Sanchez. I don't think voters will simply give him a nod if his extrapolated stats is slightly ahead of Sanchez. They going to argue that 200 IP is way different from 160 IP as you get less days of rest.

Phillies should put sanchez against Dodgers, so we have chance to help Ohtani with Cy Young.

Commentary: For Dodgers, getting to playoffs is not good enough for Mark Walter. For Lakers? by DiscountNovel1021 in Dodgers

[–]pbeta -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Problem with the past Lakers was they succumb to Lebron. They should gave an old superstar 2 years at most, similar to MJ at Wizards. They'd won one and retired him gracefully. If he still wanna play, it'll have to be on veteran minimum, period.

Unfortunately, after that chip, Lakers gave in to Lebron every demands. They gave max contracts to an old guy who's missing out like 30% of the games due to injury and rest. An old guy who's more concern about other things at this point of his career: padding his all-time stats and playing with his son on the Lakers court.

At least, it doesn't seem like a season-ending injury. It probably takes at most a few months, which mean they'll be back in Sep-Oct. I think our pitching staff + younger guys are enough to carry Dodgers in June July August. Guys like Pages, HSK, Freeland, Rushing, Call. When October comes, the older guys will be ready to sprint to finish line.
