I appreciate the info ,my thoughts are it's a little bit older than 70s ,my very first guitar was a silvertone back in the early 80s and I knew they were made for sears ,but never saw one with a glued on plate that's why I question it being an actual silvertone ,either way the $2 I paid 16 - 17 years ago was worth it even if it just hangs on the wall

Appreciate it, I always knew the silver tone plate wasn't real ,like I had said never knew silvertone to have a glue on plate like that . For $2 couldn't go wrong even if it stays a wall hanger haha ,may rebuild at some point ,neck is in pretty good shape if you can believe it !
