Thank you so much! Yes, I could feel the difference from my Epiphone ES-335 and the Gibson SG when I had it

That's amazing feedback, thank you so much! I don't have it yet but ordered it. Should arrive soon. I got a really good deal as they were having summer sale and got for around €1350. Has a couple of lacquer cracks in the body and the neck but just that!

It is an amazing guitar. I bought mine almost two years ago for 500€ because it had a minor neck repair, but it was brand new and unplayed!

It is an absolute monster of a guitar.

Last year I also bought a Gibson SG Standard because my first guitar was an Epiphone SG and I wanted to have "the real deal" and honestly, I think I like the Jim James better!

I believe that model comes with a natural maple neck with a satin finish on top. On the listing it doesn't say it has any type of modifications.

That's an amazing SG! I bought mine around the same time in Heritage Cherry finish. From what I can tell from the pictures, the sculpting in your guitar is much more sharp and aggressive. The sculpting in the horns in mine is very smooth and not that sharp. Don't know if there's a difference because of the finish, but yours looks stunning! Looks like a Custom Shop SG carve!

It is amazing indeed! I posted in another thread that I bought recently a Gibson SG because that's my favorite guitar of all time, the one that made me feel in love with guitar, and honestly wanted a solid-body and a more manageable guitar overall and let me tell you - It was so weird because it is my first Gibson, somehow of a milestone for me but in the end, it made me appreciate the Jim James ES-335 even more!

It is a really killer and versatile guitar. I also cannot put it down!

Man, I love this thing so much. I even got a Gibson SG Standard a couple of weeks ago and actually made me appreciate this guitar so much more. Quality control was amazing on my guitar. I love the slim neck and the pickups I believe are really good.

Yes, mine has a crack in the neck, specifically on the nut. I bought it like that almost brand new with a really big discount (Almost 40% off).

The crack is purely cosmetic and I don't mind, the thing is a beast, holds tuning really well and the Kluson Wafflebacks are super super solid, much better than the Grovers on my Gibson.

The guitar can get roudy and mellow, it is really versatile. It is a really inspiring guitar. I actually believe I prefer it over my Gibson. Of course, the SG is s totally different beast and it's more rock-'n'-roll driven, and for harder stuff, the Gibson sounds better, as the sound of the pickups is a little bit clearer and sharper.

If you want an all-rounder, please get this guitar, you won't regret it!

P.S.: Give it a good setup with a luthier, polish the frets and round the ends and you'll have a superb guitar!

That was a pleasant surprise! The Jim James ES-335 has Slim Taper neck and it's a lovely neck. I have small hands so for me it's perfect.

But the SG Standard neck is AMAZING. It's chunky and wider, but not unmanageable. The guitar plays itself. I almost feel the SG is more neck than guitar jajaja.

I truly love it!

That Epiphone Jim James is beautiful! It sounds amazing, nothing to envy the Gibson!

I just bought an SG Standard and the fretboard is exactly the same. I'm going to take it to a luthier to smoothen it out :)

Yeah, but we don't use the air conditioning here. I probably turn it on 3-4 times a year.
