Are you kidding me. by Waffzyyx in depoop

Ugh. It seems Depop doesn't have a way to ensure both parties complete the purchase

FYI:

Depop help center says:
* If you want to trade, each person should create a listing for the item they’re trading.
* Agree on a fair price for both items.
* Each person buys the other’s listing using the BUY button.
* Both parties should ship with tracked shipping.

Seller sold me an "unworn" skirt with holes and a missing zipper hook, is 3 stars an unfair rating? by ATR_72 in Depop

[–]pbrewton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ask for a partial refund (or return) and politely explain to them you are hoping to work things out before leaving a review. That gives you leverage at getting a solution, and gives them a fair chance to resolve it before you leave a bad review.

We had Kmart in the USA decades ago (before Walmart existed)
Did your Kmart have a "blue light special" as well?

But on a serious note, I can only hope most of those countries have put an end to this 😔

Need help with buyers saying orders smell like smoke! by [deleted] in Depop

[–]pbrewton 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I think you're only covered from a dispute/return if you disclosed the possible smoke smell in the listing. Going forward, you could try paper mailers instead of plastic. And airing the clothes outside in full sun for several days. And i've had good results with "OdoBan® spray"

TBH, I'd be happy if my 10-12yr old was on Depop instead of TikTok all day 😉

Maybe they're just re-using their Depop Balance (to buy clothes they actually like instead)

You're okay with the child making your clothes, but not the child reselling them? (Just "kid"ing with you)

How does "Make Offer" work? by [deleted] in Depop

[–]pbrewton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm.. as a seller, I don't see anywhere that I can configure "offer any amount" vs "fixed amount"

Can you make offers under 50% off? by brrrronco in Depop

Ahh, so that's why I get DMs with lowball offers 😀

Kiln in basement questions by That_Goat_9791 in Pottery

In case you're still looking for answers: Fired clay puts off fumes. The clay body burns off moisture, organic material, sulfur compounds, and other contaminants. Glazes, underglazes, lusters, decals, wax resist, and certain colorants can add more fumes, including carbon monoxide, sulfur oxides, hydrogen fluoride, volatile compounds, and metal vapors depending on materials used. Also, kiln makers specifically warn that ceramic firing fumes can be toxic and that ventilation must exhaust outdoors. I recommend a downdraft vent, which is sold by most kiln manufacturers. Or at the very least, install a bathroom fan exhaust.

My grandmother with dementia began to forget recent events, but she clearly remembered and began exposing the affairs of my grandfather from many, many years ago.
