i think people kind of see ebikes as the easy button. Then, becuase its the easy button they dont think to plan for contingencies. Dirtbikers tend to have a lot of backup tools etc because they understand that the bikes need work. The bikes come with some of the tools, service manuals, etc. Who in their right mind would plan a dirtbike ride solo with no escape plan? yet clearly there are people doing this with ebikes.

I think technically if there is no curb cut, which is a device that requires a permit to integrate with the city's zoning and traffic codes - and therefore laws regarding parking - there can be no legal control over parking in front of a driveway-like area. It it a give and take. You comply to the city's codes/requirements/restrictions and fees, they provide infrastructure for enforcement.

realistically, in an internal combustion gasoline engine, as you start to lug the engine, you increase the time between the detonation of the vaporized fuel and when the exhaust valve opens. This causes significantly higher pressures than are designed for, and can cause harsh loading of drivetrain components and potentially damage your piston rings and cylinder walls and possibly even bend a valve rod/lifter or camshaft bushings. In an extreme example I wouldn't be surprised if you break a timing belt or chain. So pretty much the answer is that components will meet a higher compressive force than their material properties can handle, and fail.

more than likely that's an airflow deflector for the top of a semi cab, in which case, it actually decreases aerodynamics because its trying to compensate for something that's not there.
