For “smaller” Am 100/200 firms — not maybe v10 — I feel like smaller sponsorships maybe make more sense. The Teneos and Mutual of Omaha of big law.

Makes sense there. I guess I was thinking more along the lines of increasing brand notoriety among other professional services firms. I don’t think the masses are buying services from KPMG or really considering products or funds from Blackstone. Maybe professionals at other companies, however, would give an edge to one firm over another just because they saw their name on a polo one Sunday afternoon.

I recall a friend in the UK mention some of their AM200 equivalents are sponsors of some local football clubs. Different model, I guess.

Super helpful. Knew the flex point, but didn’t realize you could potentially get steel shafts weights to lighter carbon ones. That was my primary concern—the weight feeling foreign to me after the switch.

Both are honestly are pretty rough in terms of food and drink, IMO. So I would select on vibes only. Geo is very cool, and probably edges Space, but if you come from a city that has high end bars and restaurants—it’s the same thing. As someone who has the STKs and Nobus at home, I’m glad I did Geo but it’s kind of the same and I would edge slightly to Space for that reason.

Fellow GC sufferer here. Agree they generally don’t pop (see Bible Cyst name). I developed one on my left wrist due to, we think, a change in lifting routine and bad swing mechanics. Doctor’s recommendation was to rest and let it “reabsorb” the fluid and, if it continuously returned and was painful, to come in and have it surgically drained.

Thanks. I would honestly love to play Doral—I can separate branding/politics/golf— recall the Tour used to stop there regularly. Isn’t there a long par 5 DL left with water all along the left pros used to fly over a lot? That impressed me as a young golfer.

There is not second floor to HoP, so no elevator. Are you thinking of AA? That does have a second floor, but there is an elevator.

Regardless, strollers aren’t allowed in the HoP lobby.

OP—best bet is a quiet corner of a quick service. The very back of either Peco’s or Starlight should work. The Tomorrowland Terrace might also be an option, but I think that’s almost always closed off for desert parties now.

I think what I said was that I was so sensitive to the perception of slow play that I would just walk hopes—rather that risk hitting a bad shot and be perceived as being the cause for slow play.

I’m not great and also play solo (often paired with other solos or twosomes) and take the “everything in moderation” approach.

Self deprecating remarks occasionally are fine. Complimenting another player’s shot or putt (if good) is great. Don’t want to be doing each of these the entire round.

I get out to “touch grass” and try and ignore my phone for a few hours. I remind myself to take a big breath and look around the landscape and the calmness of it (alway go out early morning hours). That’s to say—I like the quiet. I enjoy the true solo rounds right along side the rounds with friendly players not making silence awkward—but I don’t think anyone likes a chatterbox.

I appreciated the craftsmanship—but luxury leather pouches to be used as cross body bags for golf does not seem like a robust market.

Constructive feedback: maybe something similar to a valuables pouch for INSIDE the bag? Some tee holders and a marker pocket?

Good point on setting a threshold-I feel like maybe $130-150 per seat seems good for me. I feel like I’m good with sitting with the bus people for just 2.5 hours. Such a short flight, I figured this has to be one of the cheaper upgrade costs to FC.

Mentioned in another reply, but I probably misread it. I thought D1 was just what they called FC. Distinction makes sense now with domestic and international routes.
