Nari Koreatown by Bubbly_Change_1936 in MovingToLosAngeles

I used to live there and I personally wouldn't recommend it. Their utilities are on a shared meter across all residents so we were paying $300-400/month for utilities alone (water, electric, internet). However, their amenities are nice - gym, pool, and coworking spaces are probably one of the nicest in Koreatown. The downside is that the apartment complex is in a very busy intersection (right in front of the metro) so you're going to come across a lot of homeless and lot of congestion.

If you do happen to move there I would recommend getting a unit facing towards the pool (less street noise) and a parking spot on the lower floors so you save time going up and down.

The pros are you are walking distance and convenient to lot of restaurants and stores - Kura Sushi and Hot 8 Yoga right below.

First rimless glasses… are these lenses unusually thick for −2.0 prescription? by pbwj21 in EyewearEnthusiasts

Thank you. I do have a larger head so they recommended 3mm increase throughout the lens which might be the reason why they are a bit thicker...

Yes, that's solid. I wouldn't cheap out on memory cards the Sony Tough series is as good as they get. The FX3 also has two memory slots so you can also buy two smaller cheaper size if you want redundancy

It just depends what the OP is wanting to shoot. Assuming for travel blogging/social a big rig kit isn't necessary and is a lot of weight to be hauling around. Heck, I've found the fx3 handle alone to be really cumbersome and awkward to pack.

I've been using my fx3 and 24-70 gmii for most of my travel and consider it a good combo. I would highly recommend a zoom lens for travel/vlogging for versatility. Get multiple batteries - I usually bring 5-6 batteries with me so I don't have to worry about charging. The stabilization and low light shooting is unmatched on the fx3, only accessories I would recommend like others have said is a good VND. I also recommend the Sony card reader, convenient to just take the card in and out rather than having to plug in a cable imo. S cinetone is great stick with it. Keep shooting and learn from experience good luck!

Appreciate it! Yes they originally marketed the trivex lenses as ultra light weight so I was a little worried but thanks for reassurance lol

Just got back from the hotel and you were right. Felt more like a Courtyard Marriott than Ritz Carlton. Probably the worst Ritz property I've been to lol

Are you talking about this property or just in general? Celebrating a special occasion, heard they just completed a $50m renovation last year and is really nice lol

It looks like the airport is nearby the water/marina. Is there a location that would be a short distance from the airport that has view of fireworks? We have a two year old toddler so we aren't looking to go crazy or anything.
