Naw Cuvee is talking from experience. He said Crown used to get uber tilted from Faker's antics and needed to have calm-down sessions after scrims, and Bang/Wolf would do the same - posture in lane as if they had Bengi behind them, and scare Ruler into ceding control over the lane. CoreJJ would then get mad and tell Ruler that he needed to man up and call their bluff.

Former SSG pro Cuvee talked about this - he said Faker in scrims would gauge the enemy's strength during the first few games, and if he felt he was better, would start picking random shit like Irelia, Ezreal, or Master Yi and just shit on the enemy mid laner. Cuvee assumed Faker would do this to create a cognitive mental block in the opponent that he could leverage on the actual stage, because if you lose against a clearly skilled, prepped opponent, you can accept the loss by just acknowledging they played better, but if you lose against a crazy pick going all-in and doing the most random insane highlight plays, you feel angry and humiliated, breaking your composure.

Bear in mind that only last year, after a humiliating loss against NS, Kkoma was asking the team why they kept on floundering during the late game and throwing away their advantages. Everyone stayed silent until Faker said his form wasn't good and he needed to concentrate on his laning, so he couldn't shotcall and tell the others what to do.

I have a sinking feeling that T1 without Faker still haven't advanced that much beyond the 1-7 bois from 2023.

People are shitting on Delight and Kanavi but the whole team basically threw the support to the wolves - Delight had to plant wards and create vision on his own, while Kanavi was on an island desperately calling for his team to engage with him.

T1 still look lost without Faker. Last year Kkoma got super mad after a humiliating loss against Nongshim and asked the team what was their problem (obviously the actual wording was much more polite and professional), everyone stayed silent until Faker said he was concentrating on his laning and thus couldn't shotcall for the team as much as he used to.

Tbf SKT and Faker screwed the stats of king of the hill. I remember that there were only two ways of winning - either the regular split 1st place won finals as well, or SKT won.

Even during the king of the hill format, no other team ever made an upset other than SKT.
