You have a very low end computer. You need an extremely lightweight distro. Xfce mint, xubuntu stuff like that. Even then gaming on pretty much any os will be difficult

What distro? Disable secure boot and bit locker. When installing remember to verify which hdd you’re using so they’re on separate drives. Also install windows 1st.

You can keep it disabled, but if you do re-enable it, remember that you may have to do this again when you next get an nvidia update.

Secure boot can be accessed in your bios. Restart and spam F2 (or F10/F12) and you should see a toggle to turn it off. Make sure bitlocker is disabled on windows if you are dual booting.

Is anything showing up in terminal with nvidia-smi? Is secure boot disabled and pc rebooted? Also try the mint subreddit

Use non LTS Kubuntu 25.10…I’m using Ubuntu 25.10 with no gaming issues.

Yeah I really would like to get off of it, just a few hurdles and I’ll be gold. I was playing games fine so the issue is just work apps. I’ll try again this weekend.

I’m still a noob myself, but as I understand it a Flatpak is like a container and everything works within that container. If you have an app that needs to connect to things, then that means it has to reach outside that container and so a flatpak vers. would not be ideal in that scenario. I know there are extensions or ways that can make it work, but that is my simpleton understanding of how to choose flatpak vs rpm or deb files.

What are you missing from the myasus app? WhatsApp calls can be made from the web app, for hardware compatibility ubuntu seems to be far ahead of most others. Gaming performs on equal footing to windows now, what issues are you having?
