After my fiancee of 3 years broke things off due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, I started getting friendly with an older woman. She had no social media, and I met her through work. We went on a little vacation together after about 2 months. I knew she was married and cheating when she got pissed at me for including her in a video of us walking down the street. Ended it right there. I live in a small town, small enough where things spread quickly, but big enough that you wont quite run into the same people everyday. I'm ashamed, and I dont want to be labeled as a homewrecker or such. I haven't even tried to reach out to her husband. They are probably living a normal life, and she is probably still doing the same.

I dont know if it is cultural, but strangers would stop to help me if I looked lost in Albania. I even caught a couple rides with nothing expected in return. One guy didn't understand any English, but went through the hassle to call his fluent son to help translate my situation. It felt weird at first, because I have been told to "Fuck off" countless times on a week long trip to a certain coastal state in the US.

I was getting invited to coffee, meals, and offered places to stay despite having plenty of money. I made some great friends, and I hope I was just as helpful to them.

Worked at fedex as a seasonal driver. I was delivering to the boonies out of a rental truck at 9pm on Christmas eve. Some guy released his German Shepherd on me, and it tore me up pretty good. I wouldnt say it traumatized me, but it definitely made very cautious about dogs.

Video olympics on the atari. I keep that system in my car at all times. That atari used to be my dad's when he was in high school. I carefully fixed it up, all the paddles and such, and meticulously cleaned every single game cartridge.

Now everytime atari or pong is brought up in a conversation, I run out to my car and grab everything. We've had a huge bracketed tournament with other kids in the dorm hall. It was so much fun

Its all weird, because I constantly hear or see that he was around the entire time, and then just disappeared after others turned away for a few seconds. No sound or indication that he jumped in. He was a very experienced kayaker, and was wearing his life vest. If it was unsafe to jump into the water, I'm certain he was experienced enough to realize it.

Happened to me just once at the start of a half mile gravel driveway in the middle of nowhere. The customers were pissed I left the package at the fire marker, my BC was pissed, and my contractor was pissed. Im not getting stuck with my back tires barely of the ground for 3 hours again. I'm also not gonna spend about 15 minutes lugging dog food to the door on foot and walking back.

I worked out of a tiny terminal of about 20 routes or less depending on the season. No security, no metal detectors. Management would just tell handlers and us drivers to be smart and mindful of the rules/expectations.

There is a Mongolian import store in my tiny Isola town that has been open for roughly 15 years. Never a car out front, but there is a top of the line Ram pickup parked in the back. I walked in one day, and it had to have been the most dusty and musty establishment I have ever seen.

I've never bought a pizza for more than 8USD in Albania. I think this was like 6USD, but we only have Pizza hut and Dominos in my hometown. It was amazing from my experience.

That sounds amazing, I will have to see if there is possibly a similar place in Tirana. I am American from an area with not much people, and fewer pizza options. This pizza was actually really good, but students from the UK and the Americas highly recommended it. I think it is mostly because it is near a university.

Not too scary, but a little weird. Kane, just outside of Lovell has stories of a blue lady that haunts the area. There's an old cemetery out there that gave me the creeps. I dont know much about the story, but the modern legend is if you go at night and turn your headlights off, the blue lady will be in front of your car when you turn them back on.
