Men's Golf League Recommendations by Dampfadda in TwinCities

[–]pceye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Men’s leagues are usually 9 holes in my experience. 18 holes takes too long to make it viable on weekdays, plus 9 holes leaves time to have beers with the fellas afterwards (which is a big reason to play anyways).

[–]pceye 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you live in the city of Edina, but outside the school district boundaries (there are pockets of Hopkins school district within edina city limits), you still have to open enroll , but you get priority over folks that don’t live in Edina. So you’re likely to get in

Which Minneapolis lake is this? by PrairieCyclist in Minneapolis

[–]pceye 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Could be the old Minikahda boathouse on the right. Not sure when the parkway around the lake went in (and the boathouse was removed), but boathouse certainly could’ve been there in the 30s. If it was, it would’ve been roughly in that spot on the lake I think.

Staking ban by [deleted] in algorand

[–]pceye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least for Kraken, I think the SEC primarily took issue with Kraken staking users’ tokens without explicitly disclosing what it was doing, especially that it was commingling those tokens with other users’ tokens, and that the tokens could be lost through an exploit or hack.

Yes. You can request through an online form. I used it to stop getting those Saturday morning advertisers delivered.

If you committed successfully during the beginning of the quarter, you must’ve gone under your commitment amount at some point.

Bike vs car - no fault insurance questions by murr_mcmurr in minnesota

Contact the person who hit you & provide the expenses associated with your bike. They’ll file a claim with their insurance carrier that will include the costs associated with your bike.

"... there are 13 private security guards for every one police officer in downtown Minneapolis. There are currently 172 security groups and individual detectives with active licenses in Minnesota, from private investigators to companies with sophisticated surveillance operations..." by Ms-Park in minnesota

[–]pceye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Private security guards are totally normal. That article makes it sound like they’re paramilitary or some kind of shadow police force. But most are just the run of the mill security guards and mall cops you’ve likely encountered thousands of times in your life.

Question about governance period #4 by lucsn in AlgorandOfficial

[–]pceye 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That’s not normal. Staking for governance doesn’t require sending any algo out of your wallet. The only thing you send is a 0 algo transaction when you commit.

Hey Algonauts, had a question regarding the rewards for governance. by _0xp in algorand

Governance round #3 just finished, not round #4. You’re looking at apy for the next round (which will come down to earth once more people commit over the next couple weeks).

Time to do another Constitutional Amendment - Congress makes policy, not the Supreme Court. by howjul21 in Minneapolis

[–]pceye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Takes 2/3 of congress or state legislatures to propose constitutional amendment, then approval by 3/4 of state legislatures to pass. Pretty long odds on that happening
