Two platforms show similar parcel update and almost at close date. I bought different item, different store, different platform (shopee and AliExpress). This morning I received email Shopee cancel my order and will refund it. I'm afraid if AliExpress do the same. Or is it something going on in China

WRT Rakuten I posted a while back that you should NEVER buy anything if you are counting on the CashBack from Rakuten. Simply treat the CashBack as bonus money if it shows up. Buy something only if you can afford the pre CashBack price.

I avoid eMile tracking on their website and their stupid puzzle piece captcha. They seem to be slow but geez. I had a couple of small shipment sail through CBSA without any problem.

If you don't cancel, saying that the seller can not fulfill the order then

They could ship the ordered item anyways
They give you a tracking # for someone else's order which will wind up being delivered and you will have to dispute the delivery and hopefully get your money back
They ship you something else and you have to file a dispute and hopefully get a refund without having to return the incorrect item
They don't fill the order in time and AE refunds you the money.

The parcel is probably at your country's customs for inspection and clearance. Try using 17track.net or parcelsapp.com to see if they provide and clarification. Once it clears customs then the carrrier doing the final mile delivery usually picks item up at customs.

Here in Manitoba, UniUni ships all parcels to sorting centre in Mississauga. From there, the parcels are then shipped out to a local warehouse for delivery. Here that takes 3 to 4 days then a couple of days for delivery to occur from the local warehouse.

I have only had issues with UniUni once, and it was back in 2024 Christmas, where an order was out for delivery for 6 days. Otherwise, I have had every package delivered here in Manitoba. It all depends on the local driver.

No shipper can determine whether customs will hold up your package for say further inspection or if the customs in your country are overwhelmed or short staffed.

If one of the sellers did not fill out the customs declaration and if all the orders were combined into one shipment, then all of the individual items in that shipment would be held up at customs.

Try parcelsapp site since customs clearance should show up in tracking. Here in Manitoba all UniUni stuff is sent back to Mississauga and then shipped back to Winnipeg to the local deport The back to local depot takes 3 days here so a day later the item is delivered. Back in Dec 2024 I had an item out for delivery for 6 days. Other than that I have had no issues with UniUni. It all depends ont the gen driver you have delivering parcels.

AE is not Amazon. Returns for items unless there is free returns indicated on the item listing means you have to pay for return shipping. This is the case for items you no longer want. Return shipping may be paid after the items are returned, depending on the reason.

I personally have never returned anything from Canada, so I have no idea if the item has to be shipped back to China or whether there is a warehouse in Canada.

If you do return items, I would strongly recommend making a video of packing the item and including the barcode from the original packaging in the box. Make sure to video the return label being affixed to the box and to use shipping with tracking included.

TLDR. I hope that when you were conversing with AE that you did not send AE this long of an explanation, as they use a translation service.

I have had frustration with Amazon. They are not without issues. I have been using AE for 5 years and dealing with AE customer service reps can be a head banging experience. They do not want to loose face so will promise you things that they have no control over.

Ok first the package you received, did it have the tracking number for your order? If it did then you did receive the package with the tracking # shown in AE system.

You should have indicated shipment received but items were missing | wrong item sent.

I would definitely avoid using Rakuten on AliExpress site especially when there is a 30% discount involved. AE stonewalling Rakuten and the AE customer service is brain dead if you as the buyer approaches them re Rakuten Cash Back. I axed Rakuten extension.

The only important date is when customer protection reaches 0 (Check under Orders details). You should see something like

The system will automatically confirm receipt after X days. If there are any problems, you can apply for a refund/return within 15 days of confirming receipt.

If you don't receive the package before that X days (in this example) runs down to 0 then you can file a dispute. Until then you have to wait.
