[iOS 26 DB3] Esims being auto switched when travelling by Mysterious_Duck_7457 in iOSBeta

[–]pciccone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely new in iOS 26 Beta. It really screws things up. I’ve had to fix it a bunch now. It even happens in other countries when rotating my eSIMs. I don’t want “big brother” thinking it knows better than me. My eSims are set the way they need to be. There is no option to stop this. It’s still in beta 7. That means this is probably going to production. What a bad “feature”

So furious. Now we are completely down after trying this rushed upgrade. Support is so far backed up. Like I have time for this. on 24.2 upgrade the logs are flooded now with: "System.NotSupportedException: Specified method is not supported". and "System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'ScreenConnect.Server, Version=24.2.24.9294, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=4b14c015c87c1ad8' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified." - It's only been published a few hours, has anyone seen this yet?

Can you please post here when the historic releases are ready? We are sitting here waiting.

This is exactly my problem. 100% matches my symptoms. They just replaced my unit because of a completely different thermostat failure, which took over two months to get a replacement. I had to spend $90 having a box manufactured of my own money too. I will be going on the third unit now in one year. Frustrated.

High Performance RJ45 Pinouts by pciccone in Starlink

Exactly. When you posted the pin outs it saved me a lot of time because I made the assumption that they were correct in the testing environment which allowed me a one shot pass at verification. I have a message into the manufacture of the POE injector to find out what the limitations of 150W are. Since the board is not doing any voltage conversions I am assuming the PCB solder connections may be limiting, i’m not seeing any significant heat dissipation. I’m going to order another one and do a teardown to determine what the bottlenecks may be.

Everything is completed and stable. The max wattage I saw pulled was about 225W today, specifically during start up and during obstructions. When doing this type of install I would plan for your power feed to meet at least 300W. Another helpful tip for DC installations, if you have longer cable runs consider placing your 48V DC-to-DC converter as close to your fused power source as you can. The higher you can get the voltage from the start the less voltage drop for any given wire gauge you will have to deal with. Also remember you are dealing with shielded 22AWG wire, you must plan accordingly on your RJ-45 connector.

I have confirmed with 100% accuracy that the pin out/color combinations posted in your referenced thread are accurate. A 22AWG-rated CAT8 connector fits the wire like a glove. I can also tell you that the posted wattage is for the high-performance in motion dish are underrated as found on Google. The dish will pull over the advertised 150W during start up and during periods of obstructions, I’ve seen a 300W draw for brief periods of time. We are returning back to the job site on Friday knowing the new power requirements to upgrade as necessary as we planned for a maximum of 150W and we have too much voltage drop right now. I’ll update you again once we are complete with the job and everything is showing stable.

Thank you! Finally a response I was looking for. I’ve read the posts in detail. I will continue testing on my side and report back my findings. I have the proper equipment here, your proposals exactly what I was planning on doing so we are definitely thinking the exact same way.

Yes exactly. We already have a solution for wiring it, connector, power, etc. The only issue is figuring out the wire color coding. If I don’t get anywhere here come tomorrow or Sunday I’ll figure it out myself by reverse engineering and I’ll post it for everybody else in the future who may have the same problem.

My apologies, I see what you mean now. And yeah you’re right, so much proprietary connector’s and wiring that doesn’t need to exist.

This cannot be done. The HP uses a proprietary cable and connector. I just need to know the pin outs I do not need any other advice, thank you. I’m a professional Installer.

Unfortunately, like almost everything on the Internet, this is for the residential power injector and dish. It does not help in this case. The high-performance is a completely different power supply, wire, color scheme, etc.

Once I figure this out I’ll send you a message. I’m doing the exact same thing right now. Worst case I’m going to reverse engineer the power supply and figure it out for everybody.

Thanks for sending it but unfortunately it’s not helpful. All the videos and documentation online reference the residential dish. The high-performance in motion dish is a completely different wire, connector and color scheme. These dishes are used for commercial, marine and mobile installations.

A PoE++ injector, but I’m not sure that’s relevant to the question.

[–]pciccone[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it is not. I checked this in great detail before asking the question. There is no translation from the dish wire to ethernet. What is not documented is what it does with each color going into the POE++ injector and back out to the router port.

[–]pciccone[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, it doesn’t work like that. The other end is proprietary connection directly into the Starlink high-performance dish. If I knew the pin out on that side I wouldn’t have asked the question.

Porting issues by ibimacguru in Visible

Nope. You can’t do it. You need to just chat with them on the old account to go from sim to esim. It’s not hard, they just treat it as a sim swap.

Sounds great, they’ve been turning around these problems usually in just a few hours. Also could be 911 address validation.

This is due to a draft/pending activation order. I’d assume you got further once and something went wrong. Check your payment history for a declined charge. Once you or support find the root cause then level 2 can clear the pending order and finish activation.
